I sent a request in yesterday am.  I usually get an automated response very quickly, but I have not received anything.  I know they say not to resend, but may have to resend if I don't hear anything by mid next week.

This is the first time I've had any issues.  I always send an email request.

It hasn't even been a day and this is a weekend.  I would not be the least bit concerned and I certainly would not call this an issue

Use one of the editing tools and black everything out that is not relevant.  I use snip it.

I’m just old fashioned I guess….. I use a black marker to cover my acct info, and I fold the printed paper DH gives me to just show the Royal stock and take a pic with my phone.

is snip it an app?

Thank you.  Just surprised as I usually get the automated reply immediately and I have not received it yet.  BTW - the last OBC I requested was approved on a weekend (at least that is when I received the email) - I was very surprised.

I am thinking something is down with their system.  I have been trying to upload a recent statement via the form and keep getting the following "storage error" message.  I have uploaded before with the exact same file and never had an issue.  Did one about 3 weeks ago and had no issues. Anyone else getting this:

There are 1 Validation Error(s)

So can the shareholder credit be used to offset the gratuities or not? We have always had something to purchase in the cruise planner using the credit, but we don't have anything else this time around.

Yes, on board gratuities will be deducted from any OBC (deducted from non-refundable OBC first).

I've been using shareholder OBC toward on board gratuity charges for years.

Even if that was the case, until RCI changes the rules, you can cash it out at the casino via the slot machine - financially, there's no diff.

My last TA on Symphony I was unable to cash it out via the slot machine as per usual. I had $650 OBC and was limited to transferring $300. Thought it was a daily limit until I was told that I had to use half of what I had cashed out ($150) before I could transfer any more!

I don’t recall anyone else reporting such a low limit nor requirement to play any of it.

If you don't play 50% you are locked out from doing it again

Right, but the limit reported by most I think was at least $500 and no one has reported not being able to cash it out without playing the first time.

Biker, who wonders if transferring the promo play only modifies the above on a subsequent transfer.

Could we cash out the OBC with guest services

Yes, for refundable.

I wouldn’t bother doing that for refundable OBC, I was hoping it would work for non refundable too? I have a long cruise that with the OBC  from stock and onboard booking for the cruise it’s more than the gratuities and I may not use it all

As far as I am aware, cashing in via the slot machine is the only way to get cash for non-refundable OBC.

He didn't really test the limit - it is one and done - before you are locked out, if you don't play 50%! So if you choose $85 for the first transaction.....the limit for you is $85!

Yes, cash out all the OBC you want to cash out on the first transaction. Assuming a couple is sailing, the other option is to transfer the OBC to the other person and have that person cash it out.

When you use OBC in the casino to buy chips those chips are different and must be played. You need to specifically ask to use OBC for chips otherwise they’ll charge the amount against your credit card. Winnings can be cashed in, the bought chips with OBC can’t be cashed in.
If you don’t want to gamble on loosing them play roulette. There are 38 numbers. Betting $10 on each number costs $380 and the guaranteed winnings are $360. But $10 of the $360 are the chips you can’t cash in so really it’s only $350.
But who knows bet the $10 on the next roll and you may be lucky.

I tried to cash out the entire $650, it would not let me! I kept going down until I reached $300, then it worked. I played some then cashed out. It would not let me do another amount of any kind. So I waited until the next day and still wouldn't work, so I went to the cashier. They told me the rule is to play 50% before you can transfer any more. This was on the recent Symphony Transatlantic.

Not true! If you charge to your room you pay 5% change fee - get regular chips - play 2 or 3 hands get up and cash in....
