Dress code for surf and turf dinner?

They have that fancy surf and turf dinner one night.

what is the dress code?

slacks and polo ok for a man?

what about shoes? I assume sneakers are a no no?

Not worried about my wife, she dresses up.

That is on Elegant night, where MSC recommends dress up if you like, but that casual is accepted.  While they are not consistent about enforcement on all ships and all sailings, shorts and sleeveless shirts for men are not allowed, as are open-toed shoes.  Long pants and a polo shirt and you would be fine.

I had seen a few men turned away from the MDR on elegant nights in shorts, tank tops, or sandals. Long pants, closed towed shoes, and some kind of sleeved shirt should be adequate.

Same in the Yacht Club on elegant night, pretty much anything goes, nothing is enforced. 

I didn't look for baseball caps, I know some people have issue with that. Maybe an interloper or two wore one. 

This is MSC policy, more like NCL dress up or not night. 

If you want to dress to the nines, then sail Cunard.
