Have a Regent cruise booked

Due to health I can no longer fly long haul so most of our cruises are in Europe. Still trying to persuade dh for a QM transatlantic.

Those who have sailed Celestyal/Louis (sp?) what did you think please?

@Essiesmom and @Izzywiz

We are often in Cyprus and have never thought of them!

Hi Wineoclock,

I can’t really help you with Celestyal and Louis lines because our Louis Princessa Amarosa cruise was in 1992 and, looking back, the ship was a bit of a ‘rust-bucket’ but the itinerary was fabulous (Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, and some Greek islands).

It is the cruise that got us hooked on cruising and we had a great time.

I know the ships are more modern now so, personally, I wouldn’t hesitate to sail with them. At the moment we are still doing long haul destinations and are leaving those that are a little nearer home until we can no longer cope with the flights but Louis Line is definitely on our list for the future….. love the Greek Islands.
Happy cruising 🛳️🚢⛴️

I'm trying to figure out how this would work.  The four ways I see are 1) take the QM2 to NYC and immediately return on it, 2) take the QM2 there, visit the city for two or more weeks, then take the QM2 back, 3) take the QM2 there and take a random cruise ship back while visiting NYC while waiting, or 4) take the QM2 there and suffer through what seems like a long-haul flight by my standards (6 hours or so?) but perhaps manageable by yours.

Oh I have lots of ideas in my head.
QM to New York

bit of a driving holiday

Visit Boston

maybe try and do a couple of cruises in the Americas region

Panama

South America

Alaska

Iguazzu (my favourite place on earth)

Sail back on another ship possibly from Argentina/Brazil

as I said all ideas in my head but how much in reality 🤣 I would need a good TA to help sort it and a hefty bank balance which currently I don’t have. But a dream is nice! One day maybe x

Thank you for satisfying my curiosity.  It certainly sounds like you have a lot of things in mind.  I hope that everything comes together to make them happen.
