We are sailing out of Miami in April 2024.  We are doing a side by side .first on the Horizon then on to the Celebration. I was wondering once we are off the horizon how far is it to walk to the next terminal? Is this possible?  Has anyone every done this before.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We have done side by side but the ships were way father away than you will have.  Where the Celebration docks and the Horizon docks is easily walkable. Doing SBS is a wonderful way to extend cruising, and you are doing it on two fantastic ships.

We did it right when cruising returned an sailed a 6 day on Horizon then Ubered to MIA rented a car and drove to Port Canaveral and boarded the 2nd sailing of MG.  Def not for someone who is a worrier, but loved it.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.  It’s great to know it’s walkable.  We are looking forward to being on these two ships.  It will be our first time sailing on both of these.  It’s good to hear positive things about them.

We are doing a s2s2s in 2025 with Sunrise, Magic and Horizon. Wasn’t planned this way but our second leg on Magic got chartered. Should be an adventure! This will be our first experience also with switching ships in the same home port.

That sounds cool. One of the things that's great about a domestic B2B or S2S is that 14+ days can be done more economically than a Journeys on a per day basis. We did a 14 night on Dream last year that I would re-think if I could do over. We went to places we love but could get there cheaper on an 8 night from Miami, for example. Our new 'rule', a Journeys needs to include a new or rarely visited port.

The walk is about like walking the length of the Celebration, perhaps a bit more. Nothing difficult if you are able to walk of course. Keep your head on a swivel - you may have to cross the street a few times and there is a lot of traffic on turnaround days, especially when big ships like Celebration are in port.
