Join The Bird, *LIVE*, from the beautiful Norwegian Joy as she sails to Bermuda. This voyage concludes the Joy’s Bermuda and New England/Canada season. She will reposition from New York to Miami to sail some fantastic Caribbean, Southern Caribbean, and Panama itineraries.

The Birds sailed this itinerary, exactly 1 year ago, on the U.S. inaugural voyage of the Norwegian Prima.

In January, the Joy will make her way to Europe for a major dry dock where the largest Breakaway Plus Thermal Suite will replace Galaxy Pavilion, Vibe Beach Club will be expanded replacing laser tag, new balcony rooms will replace the port side of the Observation Lounge, the Deluxe Owners Suites will be expanded to 3 BR 3½ bath luxury suites, and more. This major renovation follows a $50M renovation in 2019 when the ship was “Americanized” after leaving Asia. After her dry dock, the Joy will return to Miami to sail the Western Caribbean.

The Plan

Wed New York depart 4:00 pm

Thu At Sea

Fri Bermuda 8:00 am - Overnight

Sat Bermuda Overnight - 5:00 pm

Sun At Sea

Mon New York arrive 7:00 am

  • BirdTravels changed the title to *LIVE* from the Norwegian Joy 5-Night Bermuda October 11-16, 2023

Interesting that the terminal has signs for Ambassador/Diamond/Sapphire, and then Platinum seating separate.  I wonder if Miami will start doing that?

Your photos & updates are so helpful for those of us preparing to sail.  Hope you have an absolutely wonderful cruise!   Thanks for another 'Live' post!  Wonderful preview for us😊

In the past, the seating area was just seats. You had to exit and join the masses to get to the boarding line. Today,’they actually opened the rope from the Ambassador/ Diamond/ Sapphire seating area, directing you out the boarding door. And they held the platinums on the other side until all of the Diamonds were through the door.

The Platinum and A/D/S seating was on either side of Boarding Door C.

CAS and people who bought Priority were left out in the masses.

11:07 Haven Boarding

11:20 Special Assistance

11:47 Diamond

11:55 Platinum

Priority and General Boarding by group number to follow

We’ll bring the Joy back on one piece. 😁

When we sailed out of NYC last September (2023), the priority non-Haven seating area was roped off and we did not have to join the masses to get to the boarding line.  They had someone at the entrance of the roped off area who checked your card to make sure you belonged there.

In October 2022, we were not afforded that courtesy.

Wow....extremely low again😕

Looks like they are proving the need for less staffing of that particular desk.

Must be a pretty important event this week.

If they all stay on for next week I don't know how we can keep them all busy🤔
