About how long does it take for Celebrity to refund port fees and taxes when a Cruise is cancelled? It has been about close to 14 days now and no refunds as of yet.

I assume that you got a message or some confirmation that the cruise was actually cancelled.

We have been waiting a lot longer than 14 or even 45 or 60 days!

Yes, we have been in touch more than once and have been assured it is "being processed."

Use the info they sent you and dispute the charge with your cc company.

We cancelled on the 2nd and our port fees and taxes showed up today on our CC.  Now to fill out the tons of paperwork for the insurance company.

Thinking about doing that.

We are still waiting, having again been advised "it is being processed"

 

Celebrity could take a lesson from Link Airways - I had a flight cancelled - rebooked 24 hours later. Overnight accommodation covered and refund for dinner and breakfast in my account half an hour after submitting the request!

You generally only have 90 days from the date of purchase to log a dispute.

with our cred card company, once we filed the dispute,  we received an immediate provisional credit back to the card.  Shortly afterwards, the dispute was resolved in our favor and the credit was made permanent.

 

filing the dispute seemed to speed things along with X...

I have read in the past (quite a while back) that if you dispute a charge with X, they will no longer accept that credit card. True?

has not been the case with us..more than once...

Took nearly a month to get my deposit back from a cruise on the Beyond that was cancelled when they decided to move it to the Caribbean.
