View of Glacier Bay from an AFT cabin versus port or starboard

I know that when the ship is in Glacier Bay, the captain will turn 180 degrees for both port and starboard to get equal time -- but what about AFT cabins at the back of the ship?  It would seem both sides would get a very good view but not so sure about AFT cabin that we are considering.  Is it worth it?

Any comments are appreciated.

We had an aft cabin on our last Alaska cruise and have another one booked for May 2024.  We love aft cabins for any itinerary, but especially for Alaska where the temperatures can be cooler.  Due to typically less wind it's more usable than cabins on the port or starboard sides, at least in our experience.

We are really looking forward to our Alaska cruise and asked our CVP to mark the cabin as no upgrade 🙂

Great picture! Do you still live in Reno?  We live in Spanish Springs.

Hi Marjorie.  We live in Caramella Ranch in Reno.  Love it here!

We are doing a Mexican Riviera Discovery Princess cruise in January in an aft cabin Suite.  We are hooked on that location.

We're leaving tomorrow for S.F. Boarding the Crown on Tuesday for 10 day Mexico Rivera and then staying on for Hawaii. We used to do aft facing suites but the walk to the elevators has become a bit too much for my husband so we booked a mid ship suite this time.  I will miss the bigger balcony but that's a minor thing.  Had to look up Carmella Ranch.  It looks nice.  That's a really growing area.  Hope you enjoy your cruise.🚢
