Things to Do Near Port Canaveral?

We’ve been to Disney (don’t want to go anymore anyway), the Pontoon Boat, the whole Space Center thing.  Was thinking Cocoa Beach but it doesn’t look that interesting.  Is there anything else nearby the port that is fun to do?  We like nature, amusementy things and quirky things.  Are there any shops or restaurants near the port?

rent a car and go hiking at Merrit Island. Try renting a kayak with Calypso kayaking using the car rental.  Also go to cocoa beach with car rental.  Just did all 3 in October.

cocoa beach helicopters. rides 19 to 199 i think. we did the 2nd most expensive one . loved flying over the space shuttle runway, the ship, beach. river. and very good narration. never was in a copter before. if you can do a bumpy wooden rollercoaster it's like that. im scared of heights and still was ok in it.

15 min walk from the royal dock but i dont think you can walk there from MSC dock.

You can just take the National/Enterprise rental shuttle (they run all the the time during the turnaround of the ships), and it's a four-minute walk to the helicopter base.
