Double sailaway next Wednesday. Eurodam; and Zuidy leaving on her Grand World Voyage.

Thanks to my fellow addicts and to our cameraperson. Thanks, Leanne for the pictures and thread.

See you all next year. Have a good holiday - however you celebrate it.

It had appeared the Nieuw Statendam moved but now she is not moving. possibly just appears she moved due to the sun shining on her. Since both NS and Allure were to leave at 5 local time I am guess they will be later. Still lots of people heading toward Allure to board.

Just had a look at my marine traffic app for Philipsburg...No movement from Nieuw Statendam.

I just came back from putting some final touches on turkey soup to see the RCI ship leaving.

That was actually Symphony OTS, a half hour late.  O did think her horn sounded better than the earlier Oasis class.

I think we were on different wave lengths.  Symphony OTS left Everglades while Allure left St. Maarten.

I think the other small ship may be Star Flyer.  I also see QM2 was there today.  Nice view of Nieuw Statendam.

You know I think the other ship that left was QM2 based on the shape

The sails are going up on the Wind Surf!! Very Cool!!

Maybe on shape but not smaller:

NS 948 foot long,114 foot wide

QM2 1132 foot long, 131 foot wide.

Could she have looked smaller due to distance from the webcam?

Roy, yes by the time I saw the ship it was out in the distance sailing and the web cam was not zoomed in I just noticed that the shape was very different and now knowing it was QM2 it makes total sense that is what it was. When all the ships were in port I did not notice QM2 on the other side of Nieuw Statendam, she could have been up a bit further and then totally blocked by Allure OTS.
