Cjonthesea Posted February 14 #1 Share Posted February 14 If traveling Solo in a cabin where two small beds are combined to make something queen size, can I request entirely removing one of the small ones? I would guess a lack of storage for housekeeping would nix this idea... but it would really help create some space in smaller interior and OV rooms. cheers
leaveitallbehind Posted February 14 #2 Share Posted February 14 You could always ask your stateroom attendant but my guess would be no.

I would combine them and make a queen.
ldubs Posted February 15 #4 Share Posted February 15 Use one for sleep and the other one as a trampoline -- problem solved! 😀 1

For the daypack for outings, and all of the things you might put in it? We never have an extra "surface" like that on a cruise, but in hotels, occasionally there are two beds, either 2 queens or 2 kings, and then... what a convenient "surface" to have available! clo Posted February 15 #6 Share Posted February 15 Are the beds movable? If so, I'd push them both up against one of the 'side' walls. Will give you a lot more space I bet.
Rare Essiesmom Posted February 15 #7 Share Posted February 15 One nice thing about the Fantasy and Holiday class of Carnival is that you could separate the beds and put them in an L shape, giving lots of floor space. They may be able to remove one bed…they do that for guests who are rentine a hospital bed or recliner. Granted, those items would be in HC accessible cabins, but the fact that they can remove the bed for this arrangement means they could remove for you, if so inclined. Something I actually did many years ago for our young daughters.
donaldsc Posted February 15 #9 Share Posted February 15 Simple solution - ask them or ask your TA. DON
SbbquilterUT Posted February 18 #10 Share Posted February 18 We usually stay in interior cabins and ask for the beds to be separated so there is more room in between beds. Makes the cabin feel much bigger.
sanger727 Posted February 18 #11 Share Posted February 18 A twin bed is pretty uncomfortable for an adult used to a normal size bed. Also, the cabins are designed for the two beds so you won’t gain much extra room if it was removed. But generally, that is way too much to ask of your room steward. We use both beds as singles and push them to opposite walls. Gives a very nice path down the middle of room.
