Hi there! Long time reader first time poster. I'm on the sailing as well, as a sapphire latitudes rewards member.

Boarding in New York yesterday was an absolute catastrophe. Lines outside of the terminal were roughly 2 hours long to get inside, asked if there was any benefit to being sapphire... Of course there wasn't!

The ship is clearly full. Every venue is packed and trying to find a seat in any dining venue is met with extremely long lines.

Have talked to cruisenext already about the priority seating for the MDR, they said we should be talking straight to the hostess when we arrive at the restaurant. We did that last night for dinner, and the hostess said basically.. good luck get to the back of the line. Talked to cruisenext again today about that situation and they gave us phone number for our concierge to assist and told us that in fact we should have been able to skip the line. We might not have been sat right away, but we should have been given a pager.

Hoping tonight's dinner goes better!

Found the CN staff only interested in selling future cruise certs.

Will we get a picture of Base Station Zebra or too proprietary?

Keep the Flow away from Zebra.

Looks like Snoopy has the bev package, for his convenience, of course.

If it hasn’t happened already (and if covid hasn’t changed this), a bagpiper will be playing down on the pier to welcome you all to Halifax. And they’ll be back at the end of the day to play you off.

Have a great day. I love Halifax.

(Get some BeaverTails about halfway down the waterfront. Yum!)

I think all those cars showing on phone are really the track at Prima raceway.

Door decorations might be banned elsewhere but not Deck 10 starboard side, walked past 3 or 4 along our stretch alone.

More free movies to watch ... from our stateroom's interactive TV.

Ship's navigational, Ch. 1 still being upgraded, no change from 6 months ago - not that useful or informative. 👎

👌 Windy Apps & CruiseMapper 👍

LOL about the free movies. My DW needs to see dumb tv to fall asleep, and there really is not much as dumb as 80 for Brady.

Following your thread with much interest and excitement - thank you!  It’s especially fun since we board the Prima in Southampton shortly after you disembark.  It will be our first time on Prima.  We will be in London three days before sail away. Especially  interested in the priority seating situation since we are Sapphire.  It may not impact us as much since we usually eat dinner early 5-ish.

Are you scheduled to port in Isafjordur?  The last I heard from the local tourism office, they were expecting (“fingers crossed”) the dredging to be complete for this cruise season.  We’ll see.  I am prepared for another sea day just in case.

Enjoy every minute!

I LOVE Halifax.  And yes, a bagpiper does welcome you, and wishes you adieu when you leave.

First world problem, obviously not looking for hash browns anymore but out of banana also, settled for a fruit plate & doubled order of smoked salmon bagel, OJ and coffee.

Still took them 10 minutes to seat us - 4 tops.  20 minutes to get hot oatmeal & my fruit & salmon w bagel ... kitchen is 50 ft. behind the double doors.  Prima's service standard of excellence 🙄😳😬

Lamp chops last night was good.  Lobster, not so much

Day 3 - 7 hours here and then, all abroad & sail toward Iceland.

My GF LOVED that movie.  I personally was ambivalent about it and watched it with her....well....because she asked me to.

She's asked me to do worse things.  LOL!

Need the extra power for Zebra.

Yes, sir.  On the doubled up - Halifax does have solar panels on top of the cruise terminal roof, for their convenience to sail & sustain, of course.

Fwd gangway is shorter and AFT on deck 8 is for those to exercise and burn off those food calories.

The sun will come out  ... tomorrow is too late.  Alexia, I will take noon - showers off & on this morning - they don't feel like doing the Citadel hilltop 😱

Food tour on our own via Uber ?  Vietnamese food places spotted - they dive for good eats, no matter what.  Will see 🫣

Half & Half for coffee

MDR lines not as bad at 8:40 but not enough staff to escort to tables, still pack full of pax not rushing to go anywhere.

Really dislike that fake half and half but better than the plastic ones last cruise. They removed cream from the buffet dispensers. In the main dining room always asked for whole milk for my coffee and they gave me a whole glass so I got a lot of calcium.

Does it always rains in Halifax. I was there in 2012 June and it was pouring. We rented a car to go to Peggy Cove and couldn’t see a thing and then went to a hole in the wall for lobsters where we selected our lobster and they cooked it in front of us. Now that is the place for lobster!

Like the time she made you go see Barbie? (Where's the puke emoji when I need it??)

But it's one of the free movies on the Prima in case anyone needs to be bored/nauseated on the long trek across the pond.

that is my go-to MDR brekkie order, sans the OJ and coffee.

i continue to be astonished at NCL's misguided inclusion of lettuce with a lox and bagel, fleet wide. i could see it as a decorative touch if they put slices of lox on a bed of lettuce, to be summarily pushed aside and ignored like a lonely sprig of parsley. but they imply that the lettuce should be eaten with the smoked salmon and that is just lunacy.

yes to lemon.

lettuce?

just. say. no.
