Where does one have a sit down Breakfast on the Edge (Non Blu or Retreat guest)

Recommended Posts

Hi, boarding the Edge this Saturday, and it will be our first time on an E Class ship.  While we normally book AQ, we opted for a regular SV room for this cruise.

Since there is no single MDR, where does a passenger go for a sit-down breakfast (not buffet).

Any guidance or other insights would be appreciated.

As for dinners dinners - we do have two dinners booked in Eden, and in addition, purchased the 3 specialty dining package (1 lunch / 2 dinners).  We love Asian food, so thinking  one lunch and dinner at Raw on 5, and maybe one dinner at Le Petit Chef for the other dinner.  Any thoughts?

Thanks so much.

On sea days they serve breakfast in one of the main dining rooms. Not sure where they would serve a sit-down breakfast on port days.

Just got off the Edge a week ago after being onboard for 39 days. We enjoyed Rooftop Garden Grille. The service was great and the food was great. We also enjoyed Fine Cut. We were impressed by neither the menu nor the service in Eden. Hopefully your experience will be better. We did meet a gentleman by the name of Daniel whose job was to rotate through the restaurants and troubleshoot any areas needing improvement. He had just rotated through RGG and Fine Cut. I am thinking he was going to Eden next or shortly, so hopefully you will have a wonderful experience.

one of the 4 mdrs will serve a full sit down bkfst..nice menu

other options:

EDEN cafe counter take out service is usually open...tables  are located  in EDEN or just outside the Cafe,

SPA cafe... limited buffet style with limited seating

if you are CAP CLUB Elite.. bkfst is now usually in the Bistro.. not sure if it's plated or  buffet style

We were on Beyond in March and LOVED Raw on 5,(we usually do the Lunch more than once) and for something different we did LePetit Chef, it was fun and we enjoyed the Presentation. We also enjoyed Dinner at Eden very much.

You have many good choices -  OVC of course, but Eden Cafe (free),  Aqua Spa Cafe for light breakfasts, Captain's Club Elite and above breakfast.   Al Bacio has pastries and coffee

In April we were B2B in Japan on the Millennium -- and Cafe al Bacio did indeed have two types of mini-sandwiches.  I remember years ago when the old Cova Cafes and then the Cafe al Bacios had a selection of mini-sandwiches mid-day before rotating out to sweets in the evening hours.

We spent 40 nights on the Edge last fall, and while one of the MDRs was used for the Elite and higher Captain's Club breakfast one of the other ones was used for a sit down breakfast.

Regarding dinners, last fall we only dined once at Eden -- hopefully they were having an off night as the meal and service were not great.  If the weather is nice the Rooftop Grill is great.  And while we prefer Sushi on 5 we did enjoy Raw on 5 several times.  But the lunches at Le Grand Bistro were absolutely excellent  -- love that lobster bisque and its puff pastry cage.

Recently they have also had 3 types of small sandwiches in the afternoon tea time.
