Denise, how about a certain cruiser showing up at your table wearing jeans and taking photos of a half eaten sandwich??:) ;) :D

{{shuddering to even imagine that!!!}}

Yep, that would do it for sure!!!!!!!!!

We have taken over 30 cruises and only one was ruined. There was an explosion in the incinerator on the first day of 7, our cabin had terrible smoke odor of burning garbage, only a few (8) cabins were affected. We had a balcony cabin but keeping the door open only made it worse, they finally (after much complaining) gave us an inside cabin to sleep in,all of our clothes had to be washed or cleaned, our throats were raw and sore. We could only use the room to shower and dress or sit on the balcony. Some of the others took blankets and slept in the lounge. They gave us $271.00 total compensation. Didn't even covered our dry cleaning bill. Didn't stop us from cruising but will never sail on Carnival again.

The only thing that can ruin a cruise is yourself. If you let any of these things bother you it's your own fault. Sinking ship "might" do it for me though, but I guess I'd hope that I could look at it as an adventure and a great topic of conversation on the next cruise when I meet my dining mates for the first time! :)

Hey Barb. You anywhere near last night's tornado?

Pete, I thought I heard some odd noises last night after the thunderstorm, my husband got up and went outside and looked. But It did not hit my block. I am sure I will find out later today when I venture out. I am sure if anything big happened locally those darned sirens would have gone off.

I missed the sinking ship one also, but if I had a balcony cabin and my life vest ......maybe get an replacement cruise. Then nothing could ruin my cruise. All the other choices are just inconviences you can put up with or go to another area on the ship.

didn't see dirty diaper in the night table... (definately would have done it)

or handmarks on the mirrors (Yikes)

or maybe that near roll over tilt (yep, might've gotten wet)

and if Stewart forgets my waffle weave robe, ......I'd be devastated

Pete are you bored????

i first voted ship sinking as when i read that one i envisioned the titanic scenario and not enough life boats..............but now that i realize there would be a life boat for us............i should re vote that NOTHING can ruin our cruise- :)

the liquor floating would be an added perk- can our ta get that for us...:)

You left out, "bumping unexpectedly into mother-in-law at the barffet when you didn't know she was on your cruise."

I have to say that, for the most part, while naked people don't bother me, it always seems to me that those who should NOT be naked (like me) are generally the very people who ARE naked (I'm never naked on the ship unless I'm hidden from site in my own cabin).

I once saw a 70 or 80 something grandma in what turned out to be a thong bikini. Sort of looked like two dried up Christmas hams with a string running between them if you know what I mean. Flipper wouldn't have even saved that from the sharks.
