You left out, "bumping unexpectedly into mother-in-law at the barffet when you didn't know she was on your cruise."

I have to say that, for the most part, while naked people don't bother me, it always seems to me that those who should NOT be naked (like me) are generally the very people who ARE naked (I'm never naked on the ship unless I'm hidden from site in my own cabin).

I once saw a 70 or 80 something grandma in what turned out to be a thong bikini. Sort of looked like two dried up Christmas hams with a string running between them if you know what I mean. Flipper wouldn't have even saved that from the sharks.

Ew!!!

tha would really do it. We had that during a rocky ride during Constellation's TA in Sept 2005. Half the diners were barfing all over the dining room. Everyone was getting up & leaving it was so repulsive!

How people cannot know they will get sick before hand to be prepared & not wreck it for everyone else.

Nude on a ship. Not a big deal, my husband when we boarded Radiance, read their binder. First time on the line, and Rich does not read the fine print. He said Jeanne they have a nude deck. I have the yes dear been married forever down. Rich we are in Alaska. It is to cold to be naked outside.

I went to that page and said sweetie this is for these ports. It takes a lot to upset us on a cruise. Even sinking, man the stories you could tell. In fact with sinking you should get the gold card of posting. Jeans in the dinning room on formal night? Well my ship sank.

This last cruise we had a lot of minor problems. The plumbing on our entire deck went out every day at about the same time. That was annoying, and lots of other things happened. But not enough to ruin the cruise. It all got fixed so no problem.

as we had for the grand opening party transportation to Atlantis at Paradise Island on Ecstasy. $185 for both of us RT. 3 day cruise but we just needed to get there & airfare was 5 times that. So day at sea when the laundry room went up in flames & we were the stateroom next door so we lost it all. We were black & folks crowded to the front of the ship waiting to get off into lifeboats but no crew. Finally a helicopter comes over us with cameras going - it was CNN. They met everyone at the dock when the other ships got out to put out the fire. We got them to dress us for the party so we took them with us.

Never again was our feelings til we got a great presentation from Princess & they got us for 12 cruises & their death to Carnival. Then onto Celebrity & RCCL. We just love RCCL and the true loyalty to its top customers. They seem to be cruising at its best with the Concierge Lounge & now the new bedding, we are all set! I believe that onboard, if something would go wrong, they would correct it & them some.

We have taken over 30 cruises and only one was ruined. There was an explosion in the incinerator on the first day of 7, our cabin had terrible smoke odor of burning garbage, only a few (8) cabins were affected. We had a balcony cabin but keeping the door open only made it worse, they finally (after much complaining) gave us an inside cabin to sleep in,all of our clothes had to be washed or cleaned, our throats were raw and sore. We could only use the room to shower and dress or sit on the balcony. Some of the others took blankets and slept in the lounge. They gave us $271.00 total compensation. Didn't even covered our dry cleaning bill. Didn't stop us from cruising but will never sail on Carnival again.

 LM*Aft*O  Now that is just too funny!!!! Only 60 and not too bad yet, but will have to make sure DH lets me know if anything starts to look like a dried-up Christmas ham. I guess the Canadian version would be a skinny turkey????:p

Rykersdad: So next time I drive up the 400, somewhere south of Barrie I'll wave! In its favour, Asiancourt has some really good *authentic* Chinese restaurants....:D

Very little, if anything can ruin my cruise experience, even the ed ug incident did not ruin my vacation, and looking at the big sceme of things, I do not care what others are wearing, and the loud drunks, none of that bothers me.. if the environmnet is unsuitable, I find a different location to go to.. no problem

I adore my balconies, no matter how small they can be... so what can ruin the vacation.. the ship sinking.. that would be no fun.. but what is the probability? not enough to even consider...

No worries here :):)

I cracked up at the description of the thong. I am a firm believer of the "Just because they make it in your size, doesn't mean you should wear it." I have seen people like described and a couple of days ago someone sent me an email with a 70 something woman, with tons of cellulite hanging out, at Daytona Beach Bike Week or something similiar, dressed in daisy dukes. The caption was something like at some age you have to stop wearing these.

I am older myself, (60) so I am not really putting anyone down. I just know I wouldn't wear things like that. Please don't flame me for this one.

Watch out for Cam Wooley!!!!!   on that 400.

I'm tired of Chinese, and recently discovered Thai.... OMG really good Thai food is soooooooo delicious, but Korean is better for you due to steaming the food.

And Doug if my mother in law ever showed up on my vacation.... I'd be a man overboard!

I can't believe all the nasty comments about this dear "grandma". As long as her thong was clean and neat what is the problem? I am sure she wears full coverage bathing suits 7 days a week/51 weeks a year. And by gosh, she is going to be comfortable on her vacation! What snobs you all are. If this is any example of the kind of people who sail RCI, then I sure don't want any part of it or you. :D :D :D :D

Even a sinking ship is going to give you a longer cruise with more adventure !!

Am I the only one who noticed the poll adds up to 169.96% ????????? What's up with that?

I cannot believe that 2.6% of people think that other people dressed in the wrong attire would spoil their cruise:eek:  I am about to take my first cruise on Mariner in Sept, and I am more nervous about the formal dress code than I am Flying from one of the most Highly populated Muslim areas of England to the US. This can't be right. I am panicking about if my dress choice will be right. But you know what? If some dried up old Fashion Police are spending their evenings checking out what other people are wearing then they must be having a boring old cruise. Not to say I won't be checking out what other people are wearing, all part of a females nature, but I will not care if a 90yr old granny wears a G string for dinner, I'll be too busy gazing at the anticipated buffet (No I'm not a piggy!!) and enjoying this hard saved for hol!!!!:)
