My wife and our 6 year old,and myself will be on the Carnival Spirit Oct,21,2011. We have cruised about twice a year. The nice thing about this one is its a 9 day cruise. We were one of the 18000 that were married in Calf before they shut it down. We are still legally married. We went on our honeymoon on the Pride 3 years ago come Oct. We always go to the FOD meetings and only have met the men..I guess not very many lesbians on Carnival.

Aww I wish you were on the Glory in November lol, our daughter is 4 and we wish we had friends with kids when we cruise!

Wow Chrissy...we're going to miss you by one week. That's really a shame. We're hoping to find some "family" too. Have a great cruise...you will love Celebrity...they're fabulous!

Hi mithryl:

I believe you're signed up for the connections get together on the same cruise we're on. DH and I are on Celebrity for the first time but have enjoyed our straight cruises on Princess. Looking forward to meeting you and other family. Only three more days!!

My fiancee, Rachel, and I will be going on the above cruise to the Southern Carribean on our honeymoon. We will be having a wedding ceremony on October 15 with our friends and family in Tennessee. We plan on getting "legally" married at some point after that. I have been on three cruises when I was younger, but Rachel has never been on any. We are hoping to make some "family" friends before the cruise, so we can feel comfortable and at home during this special time. Anyone else going on this cruise?

I wish we were all there too.Raven would have loved it.This will be her 4th cruise and she always meets nice friends onboard. She emails them at times.

I meant to say the guys were great that we met..Funny and really fun to hang with. But it would be nice to be around a group of Gals

Hi Bill...it's good to know there will be family onboard. My wife Bonnie and I are looking forward to meeting you and your DH too! We're very excited. This is our 2nd celebrity cruise, we've done Princess a lot as well. I think you'll love the quality of the food and the great service on Celebrity. See you in a few days!

My wife and I will be cruising the Mediterranean in June 2012 with our daughter, she'll be 3 at the time. Anyone else? We like to plan in advance!

We've also cruised Adventure of the Seas in June 2007 (Southern Caribbean). It was fantastic! I wasn't aware of FOD. How do we find out about the meetings? I'm excited at the possibility of cruising with other fabulous couples. :D

I would actually like to try Olivia Cruises at least once in my lifetime.

It really is quiet an experience. Our first 2 cruises were with my parents which was really fun, but the experience of being on a ship with all women is pretty mind blowing. Just imagine: the Lido Deck - all women... the Casino - all women...the dining room - all women...the pool - all women.

We were just on the Mexican Riviera cruise and had a blast. We set up an excursion (outside of HAL) with Diana's Tours in Puerto Vallarta. Eventhough it's a gay & lesbian owned company, we were her first women only trip.

In case you're interested, here are a couple of the videos we posted on YouTube:

Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone here might be on the Carnival Elation sailing 4/23/11. My honey and I are both first time cruisers and very excited. I just found the special interest board today and am SO glad to see such a strong family presence!

Ohh WOW!

Thank you for sharing.

We are kind of limited as to when we can travel due to my work schedule and Olivia has not sailed when I've been free to go. However, I do get the emails and as soon as we have a matching date we are there!!!

I know! Most of their larger cruise charters are in shoulder seasons, so our school teacher friends haven't been able to go with us either.

How are you guys doing? Sure hope all is well. Thanks for the good birthday wishes......I can't believe I'm going to be 70!!! And a SLIM 70, at that, thanks to WeightWatchers. Grin. We are fine, spent last winter in Arizona in our RV, played some golf, made a bunch of new friends and life in retirement is good (though kind of broke :().

Whoop Whoop.. My partner Sheri & I have been together 23 years, and we love to cruise.. Our next one is with a few freinds on the Carnival Dream 9-10-11... We have never done the Olivia Cruises just feel we get more for our buck on a main stream crusie.. It may be nice to have a boat full of women but we are more main stream kinda folks & also have "Straight" friends & couples that like to cruise with us too, alsong with other family memeber.. But maybe one day we will splurge and do an all womens cruise.. If there are any others going on the Carnival Dream we would love to meet up & have a drink or two..

We are now booked on Carnival Miracle out of NYC August 10, 2012. So far it is us, our two kids (15 & 22 next year), and a few family and friends. I'm excited, anyone here joining us?

Hi Girls,

My partner and I are going on our second cruise on the 24th July this year, 3 weeks and counting, on the Allure!! We are very very excited to be going on this ship and only recently found this site and this thread. We went on Freedom last August with our 15 year old son, who had a brilliant time, but we didn't meet any "family" on board and although people were friendly we didn't really meet anyone to hang out with while on board. There were a lot of large groups who were quite content to stay within their own comfort zone but we got hooked on the cruise bug and are going this year without our young man.

We will look out for FOD meetings on board but would welcome any hints or tips from seasoned cruisers.

Last year the only people who wanted to hang out were various other "Irish" couples (on hearing our accents) who just wanted to get very drunk and pass out, not our scene at all!! Not all of us are drunken louts and would prefer a bit of variety in the evenings other than just drinking.

Anyone else joining us would be very welcome!

Audrey & Mary-Louise :)
