Can you offer any more details on the car rental in SXM.

Price, driving conditions, traffic.I want to spend our day there at Maho Beach, thought about a cab but not sure which is better/cheaper. Thoughts?

I went to a Local Rental Car Dealer next to the Terminal and was charged $60. for the day, I opted for the Insurance at $15.00.

 

If you go to Maho Beach, Orient Beach or Marigot. . .I would say it was worth it. But I went just over to Little Divi Beach resort, and Front St Shopping, and it could have been cheaper for a cab. . .

I took this photo from Pointe Blanche high above the Liberty of the Seas, in St Maarten . I wanted to remove the samll cruise ship , and the cranes.

Yes . . . All cabins have WiFi, and the package rates can bring the price per minute down to .37/ min . I think I bought 2 pkgs for 55.00 each.

It wasn't bad at all. . . I uploaded most all of the photos from this thread while on board using WiFi.

 

The Internet Café is very slow.

 

Internet Café Speed 44-55 kbps (Not Recommended by Radio)

 

WiFi (Cabin or Public Area) 350-550 kbps (Highly Recommended by Radio)

We will be trying RCI for the first time this October on the LOS. I was wondering if you might be able to answer this question. I remember someone posting that the promenade cabins next to the bridges should be avoided. I think we may have one of these cabins (7297), but I am not sure. Do you know why it may not be a good idea to book a cabin near the bridge? The reason I chose this cabin was because it appeared to be near the center of the promenade and it did not have a cabin on the left side of it.
