SHIP: Solstice

CABIN #: 1198

DECK #: 10

CLASS: S1 Sky Suite

AREA: Aft

BED NEAR: Window

QUIET?: Yes--Very...with times when you stood out on the balcony you felt like you were the only people on earth. Enjoyed that!

BALCONY VIEW: unobstructed

BALCONY SIZE: Large with table two chair/loungers..with views to back and side-to-front.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: Yes on port days only

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: ONLY problem with this room was the window washing equipment on the side balcony. Made some picture taking, at times, somewhat difficult on the side-to-front views as you would have it in the bottom of your pictures. If if I would get this room again, I would get just one floor down, to avoid this. Great large room with huge window on side brought a lot of light in the cabin (had a curtain if you wanted to obstruct light at night). Bathroom was huge (with a tub and rain shower head). Had a couch and one or two comfy chairs. Pole near bed was not a problem. The DH slept on that side and said he hardly noticed it. One thing about a suite as opposed to concierge or aqua...the afternoon hors d' oeurves were actually edible :D

Ship: Reflection

Size: Standard to small, not larger loke M-class Aft

SHIP: Solstice

CABIN #: 6258

DECK #: 6

CLASS: 2C

AREA: aft

BED NEAR: bathroom

QUIET?: mysterious scraping noise nightly, lasted about 20 minutes. Pretty sure it was coming from the Blu restaurant below.

BALCONY VIEW: partially obstructed by lifeboat supports

BALCONY SIZE: standard

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: This cabin looks directly down at the "employee break area" on deck 5. So at all hours you will see employees out at the railing talking on cell phones, smoking, talking with other employees, etc. Even saw a couple employees using what looked like Skype/video to talk with family. Made the balcony seem a bit less private, but not a major issue for us. Celebrity hangs a "CAUTION WET PAINT" ribbon along the employee break area railing to keep passengers away...it worked!

SHIP: Solstice

CABIN #: 1283

DECK #: 10

CLASS: C3

Bed Near: Door

QUIET?: yes

BALCONY VIEW: Great view. Lifeboats five decks below, but no problem

BALCONY SIZE: Normal

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: This cabin is quite far aft so it's a hike to the elevator--which is good for me, but something to keep in mind if it's a concern. Very quiet. Would book this cabin again in a heartbeat.

SHIP: Solstice

CABIN #: 1405

DECK #: 10

CLASS: C1

AREA: tiny

BED NEAR: balcony

QUIET?: yes

BALCONY VIEW: great

BALCONY SIZE: smaller than average

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: BEWARE! Someone may like this but we tall ones didn't...the sofa, near the bath, stuck out a foot into the already narrow walkway from bath to bed. One couldn't use the tiny table at all. There was a foot deep shelf behind the sofa to stash more stuff. That came in handy. Using a cane was impossible, so I'd rather have the extra foot to navigate rather than the shelf. The S1 next door, my children and theirs, was great. The balcony door opened between us and there was an outer door which could be locked to allow both cabin doors to remain unlocked for charging grandkids. We put a lounge chair and footrest in the outer space and since it was well lit I read there. No one in future sales, guest relations or our Wonderful Captain's Club host, Chandru, knew how to know in advance that this would be the cabin config. Perhaps it's only next to corner S1s.

We are in 7225...I'm assuming that's directly above where you were. Could you tell me how the sun was on the verandah? Plan on spending our sea day afternoons there just relaxing.

Can't find a review on Cabin 3145 can anyone tell me is there some how I can find if there is one, without going through the whole spreadsheet, not much good on this sort of thing....thanks in advance

Closest listed on the spreadsheet is 3146.

It gets a decent review. To view it you simply scroll down column A until you find cabin 3146.

SHIP: Reflection

CABIN #: 7309

DECK #: 7

CLASS: S1

AREA: Aft Port

BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?: Very quiet. Only normal ship noise. The suite is so isolated from the hallway you got zero noise from outside the cabin.

BALCONY VIEW: Wrap around deck. Balcony faced aft and port. Could easily see starboard.

BALCONY SIZE: Huge. This might be the biggest balcony on the ship. We could easily seat three for breakfast and have two reclining chairs with lots of room to spare.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: Yes, because the balcony was not regularly cleaned. We had to wipe our feet when we walked in. But it did not do any harm. We could nap or eat outside and never notice anything. We simply had to wipe the table and chairs before sitting.

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: This is a great suite. The size of the balcony makes it worth spending time on the balcony. The bathroom is as large as a nice hotel. The closet space if more than we needed for 3 people. With a king size bed, sleeper sofa out, we still had lots of room to walk. For the money, the best room on the ship.

SHIP: Solstice

DECK #: 6

CLASS: 2C

AREA: aft

BED NEAR: balcony

QUIET?: Except for sporadic whistling through the balcony doors. Some toilet gurgling.

BALCONY VIEW: partially obstructed by lifeboat. Balcony is dead center over a lifeboat.

BALCONY SIZE: standard

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Noted above. LONG walk to the elevators. Approx 100 yards.

SHIP: ECLIPSE

CABIN #: 1512

DECK #: 11

CLASS: A2

AREA: FORWARD

BED NEAR:

QUIET?: NO, NOISE STARTING DAILY 6AM FROM TREADMILLS ABOVE, stops around 10pm gym closes

BALCONY VIEW: Very good no overhang

BALCONY SIZE: average

WIND A PROBLEM?: average wind noise, quiet with door closed

SOOT A PROBLEM?: NO

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Treadmill noise is a big problem especially when people run on them. Staff tried blocking the noise by disabling treadmills in the morning didn't solve problem, still excessive gym noise. A deaf person would love this room. Otherwise avoid it! FYI: I have a deaf daughter.

SHIP: Eclipse

CABIN #: 1578

DECK #: 11

CLASS: Aqua A1

AREA: Midship

BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: Mostly. We were on a Baltic cruise so little late night activity on the pool deck. I think it could be a concern on a warm weather cruise with night time pool deck activity.

BALCONY VIEW: unobstructed

BALCONY SIZE: Standard with two chairs, table, and two footrests

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Under the overhang, so no sun on the balcony, but great if it rains or if you are trying to limit sun exposure. Occasional noise from footsteps overhead.

SHIP: Celebrity Reflection

CABIN #: 1546

DECK #: 11

CLASS: Aqua Class

AREA: FWD - Starboard

BED NEAR: Bathroom (According to other posts here on Cruisecritic: on other S-class ships this room# has its bed near the balcony, but not on the reflection; near bathroom!)

QUIET?: YES! I first wasn't sure if this room was a good choice because it is just accross the elevators, and below the private gym-room. But it turned out to be very quiet! Never had any disturbance from the gym above, nor from the elevators. :)

BALCONY VIEW: No obstructions, there is a window cleaning thing above the nextdoor-balcony of stateroom 1544. But it's stowed above the balcony ceiling, and it was not obstructing the view at all! Not for us, and not for 1544! :)

BALCONY SIZE: Normal, as other S-class ships

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: :):):) Best room we ever had on a S-class ship!
