Did you not get 500 free minutes? Since your cruise was over 20 days, you should have received a $200 credit which is equavilent to 2 pkg. of 250 minutes each. Pia had 500 minutes as she did a b2b and I suspect she probably had some use of her DH's 500 minutes also. Platinium and Elite get the same internet benefits.

Pia and cruising friends, thanks for the Live and taking us along with you.

Hello to Pia, Donna, Tina, Linda&Jim, Carolyn & John and all others who made this B2B so much fun. We had 3 great roll calls and so much to remember. For those who have travelled to the Caribbean alot - those ports were repititous-we usually tried to find something 'new' to us at each place. St. Lucia has a great National Park, Dominica has a snorkel trip to the Champagne Bubbles, Tobago was new to us - we took an all day tour to see as much as we can.

The Amazon and Devil's Island was new to us and so unique, it was in a class of it's own. Definitely a 'must do' trip.

Pia was saying there was nothing to buy in Manaus - I have to agree with that. and with everyone spending so much time seeing as much as possible - then recovering from the heat - and the holiday. No one could find anything.

One funny thing-we took the ship's tour that included Lake January (english spelling) and the lily pads. Well, out there in the middle of nothing but water is a fully stocked souvenier shop and restaurant. The best shopping of the Amazon that we found !!

There was a question early in this thread about deck 4 - we were in 4021 and it was noisy from deck 3-that's where the AC unit is and the door to let in the pilot's from their boat . I had no problem except for that-we are early risers-but if you are sleepers - pick the higher numbered cabins on that deck.

ginbuck- I tried your idea with the laundry (I loved it) but others thought I was crazy, too. I heard security was called several times during the trip.

Kappellof-I met and thanked your father for his service-he was and is a national treasure. Everyday at lunch we saw him with a gang of 'admirers' at his table. Several days, his 'admirers' were all Japanese wanting to hear his stories from 'before they were born.'

Thanks to you, Pia for starting this thread and for all the additional comments along with hers, MaryAnn

PIA,

I hope your having a wonderful time!!

How are the rooms on the 4th deck mis ship around the Medical center? Can you check them out and report back?

We were in 4009. There was significant noise and vibration when docking and anchoring --- no need for a wake-up call! However, it was fun to see the big waves splashing past the window.

So, does this mean she will be on the ship during it's Alaska Season? If so, she'll be practically cruising in her own back yard :)

Sammi is by far one of the greatest assets Princess ever acquired. We love her! She is hands down, the best CD we have ever encountered.

She's only doing through June I think she said. Then she's off to do the world cruise on the Dawn starting in Sydney. Sammi's the greatest! It was really great to get to say 'hi' before we had to go.

Hello was wondering if you can give some info on the casino? I know it is small but what kind of table games do they have, what type of slots are there and about how many. Thanks for the info., one other qeastion on the long cruise do they play bingo like they do for a seven day cruise? We will be doing a 14 day Alaska.

Thanks so much!

On our cruise the penny slots 'Mardi Gras' and 'Boot Scoot' were paying out pretty decently. Don't know about any of the higher priced stuff, though. Bingo was on sea days, pretty much as usual.

Coo359a2 mentioned that Sammy Baker will be the CD on the next sailing of the Princess. Does anyone know who the Captain, PSD, Maitre'd, and Cruise Critic Host for the April 24 sailing? I would like to invite them to a CC Meet and Greet, and it seems nicer to address the invite to them by name.

Thanks for your input...Marsha

Roberta is coming back as Capt's Circle/Future Cruise person - Sylvain got off when we did.

You forgot my favorite penny slot; the Halloween weird one. You only need 9 coins to play the max on that one, instead of 20+ on most of the others. What a bargain! :D

Thanks for that news Donna. I have friends doing the world cruise on Dawn so I will let them know.

Roberta was off for this round trip. She and her boyfriend were scheduled to reboard in FLL yesterday.

And I'm sure she did, though she was running late. Sylvain was chomping at the bit because he was anxious to get off and she still hadn't arrived when we left the ship.
