palmyrafan Posted June 20, 2012 #28 Share Posted June 20, 2012 I believe NCL names its suites in categories AB and above. These names are, for the most part, not noted on NCL's deck plans, and I've read in the boards that many NCL reservations staffers are also unaware of the suite names. I figure it might be nice to post the suite names here for anyone who is interested. I only know the suite names on the Norwegian Star and one on the Norwegian Pearl. They are posted below... The Haven Suite 14514 is named the Magnolia Suite on the Pearl.

alikaalex Posted June 20, 2012 Author #30 Share Posted June 20, 2012 This should be a sticky! It's great. Thank you. Thanks! That would be cool, but I don't know how to create a Sticky. That said, it would be great to have a list I can update (rather than just repost) from time to time as I'm already seeing additional contributions. Plus, I need to do some general cleanup to the list. :o

kcfoxy Posted June 21, 2012 #32 Share Posted June 21, 2012 (edited) NCL Spirit, I noticed the SF Penthouse Suites Forward had Zodiac names on this former Star vessel, (also no rooms with the 'unlucky' number 4 in them)... Our home away from home was 10022, the Aries suite...and how sweet it was! :p Edited June 21, 2012 by kcfoxy

rockabutzer Posted June 21, 2012 #34 Share Posted June 21, 2012 Love the list, but notice that there are a few ships missing. Does NCL just have names for a few of their ships and not all? In particular, the Pride of America. Inquiring minds want to know. ;)
2inTul Posted June 21, 2012 #35 Share Posted June 21, 2012 Love seeing the names. What about Epic suite names? I do not beleive that Epic Suites have names. I don't remember seeing any in the Haven. We were in a DOS (17033) and it did not have a name that I remember.

alikaalex Posted June 22, 2012 Author #37 Share Posted June 22, 2012 (edited) I've been doing a bit more research on suite names fleetwide and it does appear that the Norwegian Epic does not have named suites. I also did not see any named suites on the new Deluxe Owner's Suites that were recently added to the Norwegian Star. I have a sneaking suspicion that NCL is trying to do away with the tradition of naming Category SC suites and higher, which I think is a shame because staying in a named suite really makes the room feel more "special" and unique, not just another number. alikaalex Posted June 27, 2012 Author #45 Share Posted June 27, 2012 OK, here goes. I've scoured the web* for additional suite names and here's what I've come up with thus far. Question marks (?) indicate I was not reasonably sure of these suite names or I found conflicting information. Of course, any additional info you'd like to provide would be welcome! So enjoy the additions and corrections to the list: * BTW, I believe I almost completed the Internet doing this search. I think I have about 10 pages left. ;) Norwegian Dawn: Category S1: 3-Bedroom Garden Villa14000: Horizon Garden Villa14500: Vista Garden Villa Category SA: Deluxe Owner's SuiteNOTE: As of November 2010, suite names had not been posted on the door signs on the other Dawn-class ship, the Norwegian Star. rockabutzer Posted June 28, 2012 #48 Share Posted June 28, 2012 I asked earlier on this thread if the suites on the "Pride of America" had names and didn't get any responses. So I'm guessing that they do not. In light of this fact, I'm going to "assign" a name to the suite I will be occupying in January. It's Deluxe Penthouse Suite 10000. In keeping with the theme of the ship (Americana), I will unofficially call it the "Windy City Suite". That's because it sits at the front of Deck 10 and has a balcony that occupies the middle third of the entire deck. As I understand it, if you have both your cabin door and balcony door open at the same time, you will get the same wind tunnel effect as you do between the skyscrapers of Chicago. :D Aloha! I was on a regular balcony on the PoA in January. Can definitely confirm that if you have the balcony door open and you open the inside door that it's like the entire atmosphere of the Earth is trying to go through your balcony into the interior of the ship. My wife and I thought it was neat. :D No idea on the suites. We didn't stay in one and I didn't go looking for them.
