How do you withdraw it through casino credits? Just go to the casino and request it? I never used any of the ships' casino.

Thanks.

Just go to the casino cage and ask for however much you want in cash. Let's say you want to take $200. You will sign for that amount and also a 3% service charge. They will give you the $200 and charge your shipboard account for $206.00.

I am sorry to ask this question but I am still a little unclear. We have a cruise on carnival and princess booked. The Carnival cruise we have an OBC for $ 240.00. The same credit was offered on the Carnival site but we booked the cruise through a TA. Are we still eligible for the $ 50.00 Share Holder credit? The Princess Cruise we have no OBC's so I have no problems with that one.

Thanks in advanced for any help,

Kevin

Yes, you can get the shareholder OBC and other OBC's. You need to send the info to the appropriate person at Carnival to get the credits. Go to Carnival.com.

Thanks Paul,

I thought I heard somewhere that if you had OBC's and share holder credits you could only get one not both. The highest credit.

Thanks for the info,

Kevin

That was once the rule, but it has been changed so you can get the shaeholder obc and another, such as the FCC OBC or the Captain's Circle OBC.

On the Golden in May I had money left over on my account that I knew I wouldn't use so I went to the casino and put my card in one of the video poker machines, set the card up with a pin #, loaded the card with the amount of money I wanted, which was debited from my onboard account. I actually played a game and won a little then decided to go cash out, which consisted of going to the cage and requesting a cash out (which you can do anytime on the ship - but before the deadline of the last night) and they gave me cash!

Yes and by using this method there is no 3% charge added.

Per Ms. McDaniel, OBC requests are handled by the office in the geography where the cruise was originally booked; so, if your booking is via Princess UK, for example, your OBC request will be processed by Princess UK. If you're in the UK but your booking was done through a US TA, your request will be processed in the US. You may need to allow extra time for the former.

Here is a NEW question:

Married couple owns 100 shares jointly. DH books one cabin AND DW books another cabin on the same cruise. What should the Stockholder Credit for that 7 day cruise be?

Thank you in advance for all the great info and hopefully the answer to this question!

You submit your request on separate days, so as not to create confusion. You are legally entitled to OBC for each stockholder's booked cabin.

How do I know the credit has been applied to my booking?

Give the talented Yield Management representative a couple of business days to apply the credit; after that...

  1. Login to My Princess

  2. Under the Circle Savings Account heading on the middle of the left side of the page, click View Details

  3. Scroll down to the Account Summary heading and click the Onboard Credits tab; you'll see the credits for each upcoming sailing, listed by a Credit ID#, referencing your booking number.

If you don't see your credits after five business days, contact Yield Management.

You don't always see it in your Circle Savings Account. If you mailed in the copy of the proof of stock ownership, etc. AFTER you have made your final payment - you receive a statment (email from Princess) that shows you have an OBC (in our case $250.00) - when I asked about it not appearing online in our Circle Savings Account - I was told that I would not see it there - since my account had already been posted with the credit....

I am so impressed with Liza McDaniel at Princess who handles this. A few months ago I faxed her a copy of our stock statement to request our OBC on our summer Alaska cruise and our upcoming Christmas cruise. She was able to process the request for our Alaska cruise, but it was still too early for her to apply it to our Christmas cruise. She told me I would need to fax a current statement again closer to the date of our actual cruise.

Today I got an email from her letting me know she could apply our credit now and reminding me to be sure to fax her a new statement so she could take care of it for us. Now that is great service!

Alas, this feature is not available to UK users, so it seems we only find out once we board or call the cruise line.

Tim, I am a Carnival UK shareholder, and when I book a cruise and mention the benefit, my OBC is always shown on the confirmation received from my TA, and if you get a Princess invoice, it is always shown on there.

Thanks for all the advice on this thread. I purchased my 100 shares of CCL. Anyway we sail in 2 weeks and I wasn't sure what would be the quickest, my fax at home is having issues. Anyway, I e-mailed Liza and attached a copy of my trade confirmation. She e-mailed me back within the hour and said she had applied it to my account. Wish I had bought the stock earlier. It even went up .30 a share:).
