New Menu on Imagination

Was on Imagination last weekend and they have a new menu in the dining room.

Waiter said it had been out only a couple of weeks. I assume it is or will be fleet wide.

One obvious change was escargot on the first night. They didnt use to have escargot at all on 3 day cruises.

I sailed on the Imagination November 2010 and will be on her again in October. Any other changes that you can mention will be helpful. The food is good but it would be nice to have something "different"

Each day's menu had an item of what is called "Comfort Food".

One day it was fried chicken, one day they had meatloaf.

I thought the food was very good.

oh, and they added an appetizer that is available every day, spinach & artichoke dip with chips.

Yes, I liked the new menu. I was on the four day and was surprised to see the escargot the first night.

They also had some new items like the alligator fritters which were pretty good. :D

I'm sailing her on July 1 and any additional info you can provide for the new menu and any other changes would be most helpful! There isn't a lot of info on this ship as some of the others.

I love fried chicken, but will pass on the meatloaf, not a beef eater.

Im sorry I missed the new menu, but good to know they are making some changes. The old menu I had seen it so many times I knew it almost by heart.

For those who like the hot dogs and chili at the Lido grill..thats different too.

The hot dogs on the Imagination are at the deli, and they didnt have chili at all.

And when you get a hamburger you have to add anything you want like lettuce, tomato , etc that they used to add before they give it to you.

It is now all on a table in open trays with NO sneeze guard for everyone to cough and sneeze on.

I'm not too fond of that no guard thing but I am liking the fried chicken and spinach & artichoke dip. I'm going to have lots of food. lolol

Yuck.. Not against the idea of letting you pick what you want, much less waist, but they should DEFINATELY have a sneeze guard over it. That’s the way they serve a lot of the desserts on Lido too isn’t it?

Hoping they add fried chicken to the Legend menu, my hubby will be happy. He is not too fond of fancy food, new (to him) food, different food.

Do you happen to know if they are changing the MDR lunch menu's as well? I saw the Magic one was different, but I didn't know if it was just for that ship, or if they were changing them fleetwide.

Does any one have a copy of the new menus? Also does anyone know if they will be moving them fleetwide?

How exciting!! I dont cruise enough to get sick of my old favorites but I like new options!

Fried chicken and meatloaf as comfort food? More like "Come fat" foods. My comfort is that I didn't have to cook it.:p

If they mess with the availability of my shrimp, I WILL bring my shrimpnet and cast it off the balcony!

The fried chicken on Carnival Magic was pretty darned tasty and served on a plate at a table with a real tablecloth!

When I made a family dinner with meatloaf, it was the first time that the kiddo had eaten it. When he heard what it was called he asked me if it was named after the guy.

Look, he was born here (see my location) -- he doesnt get classic American food very often.
