St. Maartin hotel day pass

Just wanted to share my recent experience as we were on getaway last week and were looking for a day pass at a hotel. Cruise line had no such offer but I asked the information center in port and they suggested the westin at dawn beach. We took a short cab ride to westin for $7 each. Hotel is on the beach has a large infinity pool with swim up bar. Just a nice relaxing day if one is looking for that option. The cost was $89 plus a resort tax of $20. It also included a room.)

What You Get for Your Money:
If you're traveling with your family or as part of a group, this resort in
offers day passes for up to four people for 50 percent of current, regular room rates. The price includes the use of a room for up to four people between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., as well as use of the resort's pool, lounge chairs, beach and towels. Meals and drinks are not included.

How to Get There:
Expect a half-hour taxi ride from port.

For More Info:
Visit the Westin's "Resort for a Day"
or call +599-543-6700.

If you go to the website they list there, it says $199 per day for up to 4 people and it includes the $20 "resort fee". However, if the OP says it's $109 total it seems it would be much cheaper to book it directly with them when you get there. The link on the CC page to the Resort for a Day thing seems suspicious to me like it's just a middleman website that's charging you extra for the same thing you can get there.

We arrived at around 11:30 at the resort went directly to front desk and asked how much for day pass was told $89.00 plus the resort fee of $20.00 food or drinks are not included. They did ask me how many wee in my party, I told them four even though I had five. Three kids. The resort was not full at all which was perfect we stayed until about 4. Had to be on ship at 5:30. I don't think it took more than 15 minutes by cab. Didn't think I would need the room but it was actually nice to have as it did rain for a bit. If I planed this we could have brought a change of cloths to shower and clean up before heading back to ship. Like I said it's definitely a quiet relaxing day if that's what your looking for. It's certainly not the Atlantis with all that activity. It has a nice casino if that's of interest.

Well, you just saved me some money. We leave today for Miami, tomorrow we board the Getaway. I had this website all geared up to enter my credit card info for the $199. I'm going to call the resort directly and make sure they have availability, but now I will definitely go direct. Thanks for the tip!!

Where in Bermuda were you able to get a day pass? Any other suggestions? We sail on the Dawn next week.

Coco Reef Resort. Look on our webpage about 1/2 way down for a link and some pictures. You will have to email since their website doesn't mention "day visitors". We got there by taking the ferry and bus approach but there was a bit of a hike getting there from the bus stop. Someone on the roll call took the ferry to Hamilton then a cab from there direct to the resorts door. I seem to recall there were four of them and they shared the $20 (??) cab ride.

FWIW, clicking on one of the thumbnail images will take you to a larger view of the image. There is a little map below the larger image which, when clicked upon, will show you where the resort is along the islands southern coast.

Hi Joe! Thank you sooooo much! It never would've occurred to me to check into a day pass & the CR website does indeed have information about their day pass. Sold! We, too, are taking our 2nd day as our 'beach' day, & this is just perfect :) Now I just have to pray the weather holds up. We're celebrating our 10th anniversary, & with having run into Hurricane Ivan 10 years ago on our honeymoon cruise, our fingers are crossed it doesn't happen again. I really enjoyed your website, too! Susan

We love this beach!!! We spent 4 hours there as part of a tour on another cruise line- it was an amazing resort and beach.

WOW, they completely changed their website since I visited last. I see they now have info on day access. Glad you found the information helpful and are going to spend the day with them. I'll keep my fingers crossed for good weather. The first time we cruised to Bermuda we got there but a storm rolled in during our full day forcing most of us to remain on the ship. NCL Gem, however, never made it and was diverted elsewhere. Enjoy.....
