Where to have pre-cruise breakfast in Ft Lauderdale?

Good place for breakfast in Ft. Lauderdale? We're driving in early that morning, so it doesn't have to be near the port.

well i like ihop dennyand dunkin donuts but i am sure you meant other then chain type restaurant

If you like IHOP, there is a good one in Plantation about 15 mins from the port on South University Blvd.

I also like Ally's Comfort Cafe ( they have a location in Davie and one in Sunrise) .

Joe's Café in the Harbor Shops mall off 17th St. Only 1 mile to Port from there. Also there is plenty of shopping if you need to pick up some last minute things (including Total Wine).

The Floridian on Las Olas, Lesters Diner on 84.

If you want Ihop, there is one on Federal right around the corner from the port.

I had breakfast at Einstein Bagels on 17th across from the Embassy Suites one morning. Awesome. There is a Denny's at 17th and Federal Hwy as well if you are into that.

I second Joe's Cafe. I've never had breakfast there but I've been there twice for lunch and it was great. We enjoyed sitting outside at the swinging benches/ tables and the food was delicious.

After breakfast just drive south on the same road (A1A) for about 6 miles, go over the big drawbridge, turn left on Eisenhower Blvd, and you're in the port!

My absolute favorite breakfast place is OB House in Himmarshee Village.

There is always a line and bring your wallet. Breakfast for three with no alcohol was $83 and was worth it.

A bit further away is Galuppis, amazing Sunday brunch!

Also a bit closer than Galuppis is Bistro 1902, best eggs benedict and salmon with all you can drink mimosas.

We always try to eat breakfast or lunch at Le Bonne Crepes on Las Olas -- something we don't get at home!
