Rain Cover

We're going to Alaska in July and I wanted to get a rain cover for my DSLR. Any recommendations?

Third recommendation for Optech rain sleeves....Cheap and effective. I always have at least one in my bag...usually carry a second one for any friends we travel with. Three to a pack.

In addition a rain cover... you might want to explore Sigma's new "WR" filter line. These weather resistant filters offer a special coating that repels water.

You might not need to wipe your lenses as often.

shower cap and a rubber band. Simple, cheap and effective. ;)

Another vote for the OptTech. Nothing fancy but easy to use and effective. The one draw back that I see is it is kind of big and clumsy on a smaller camera with a short lens. The cost is not much more than that shower cap and rubber band

Another for optech

I've used the OpTech Rainsleeve at Antarctica and the Galapagos with good results.

Another vote for Optech! Took a pair to Alaska and they were great! I used them along with my lens hoods and the camera was dry and the rain was kept off the front of the lens.
