Silly question re: where you keep your cruise card?

I used to just put my cruise card in my front pocket, but it tends to slip out if I'm sitting down in the theater or in a bar or laying back in a lounge. So I started using this little leather money clip that I'm almost certain was a gift from Princess Cruises. It has 3 card slots and a little gold money clip in the center. It folds up nice and thin. It's small and light enough that it's not cumbersome, but it's enough in my front pocket that I can tell if it's there without actually having to touch it.

- On the ship I just keep my cruise card in it (along with one or two 20 dollar bills in case I happen to be walking by the casino ;) ) in my front pocket. It has never slipped out when I'm sitting down.

- On shore I keep my cruise card, 1 credit card, and however much cash I think I'm going to need in this little money clip in my front pocket. I try to keep the cash to a bare minimum though. If I want to make a big purchase, that's what the credit card is for.

- it's tiny enough that the metal detector doesn't detect it when getting back on the ship. So I can just leave it in my pocket.

- my wife and 15 yo son both use lanyards. My wife doesn't care how it looks, but my son is getting to the age where he feels a little silly wearing it. I'll be surprised if he uses a lanyard for our upcoming cruise in November.

Not sure I would do the bra thing.....unless it had one of the pouches..cannot imagine pulling that card out and a few minutes later giving it to a server.....we would all need to washy washy our cards! Yuck
That's exactly why I use the Rack Trap!

I put my card in a wristlet that I carry while on board. I can't figure out why people would carry around a cell phone. Isn't the cost of phone calls outrageous while on board or when one is out of the US? When I am on an excursion I put my card and a credit card and a few dollars and my small camera in this small wristlet. I carry my casino at seas card in the wristlet when I am on board.

DH and I have lanyards with plastic pouches on the end, that is where we keep them during the day. In the evenings DH carries his in his pants pocket or the inside pocket of his sport/suit coat pocket. I either give him mine or put mine in my pocket in the evening.

I have found what works best for me is to bring our own hole puncher in our small carry on (also useful to use with a couple extra zip ties for disembark luggage tags).

After punching a hole in a corner, I attach it to a key ring with a carabiner clip.

Then I clip it to my belt loop and tuck it into my front pocket or to a loop inside my swing pack cross body purse or inside port day sling pack.

I feel more secure knowing it can't just slip out & get lost & it is easily accessible.

I don't have to do the lanyard around the neck thing...ugh...I can barely tolerate a necklace around my neck.

The bra is a great hiding place that I use often for all sorts of things, but not SAS Card.

DH laughs at the stuff I sometimes pull out of there!

Won't work for every gal but if your well endowed it's a great benefit :D

That's what I use too. I can put a credit card and some cash in it as well. I wear a lanyard every day at work, so it feels natural to me. At night I usually bring a small clutch purse with my key card and some lipstick.

DS(20) uses his pocket now but when he was younger he used lanyards from his favorite sports teams. DH uses his wallet. DD(17) uses lanyards. She has some beaded ones that she made and some bedazzled ones that she bought. She tries to color coordinate with her outfits. I use a keychain that has one clip the gets attached to my key card and another clip the I can attach my cross-body purse strap or my beach bag stap, or a belt loop, etc. I used lanyards when we were first cruising but find this to be much more user friendly. I also find it easier to pack a small cheap whole punch in my carryon and just do it myself rather then wait in line for someone else to do it for me.

In a small shoulder bag which will also hold my camera, glasses, comb and lipstick.

That's what I use too. I use a Vera Bradly mini-hipster, all cloth and so light-weight I forget its there.
