Dancing with the Stars Fall 2016 Gowns and more

Hi everybody! I couldn't find a thread started yet for the upcoming season, so here we go.

Thanks for starting off the new season!

I'm not sure what I think about Ryan Lochte possibly being a dancer. Kind of makes me not want to watch. :( I wonder if this was something he wanted to do before Rio or if he's just trying to redeem himself now.

New season starts on Monday, September 12.

ABC TO ANNOUNCE THIS SEASON'S "DANCING WITH THE STARS" CELEBRITY CAST LIVE ON "GOOD MORNING AMERICA" ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 30, 2016

So far we have Maks returning as a pro, along with his brother Val, Witney Carson, Sharna Burgess, Artem Chigvintsev, Lindsay Arnold, Sasha Farber, Allison Holker (back from her second baby) and Gleb Savchenko.

"Stars" so far are (I added some of my own thoughts) ;)

- Ryan Lochte (idiot Olympic swimmer :rolleyes:, 32)

- Amber Rose (American model, actress, and fashion designer, 32)(Shaved head, tight clothes, has a son with ex Wiz Khalifa (rapper))

- Terra Jole (4'2" star of Little Women: LA, 36)

Kym and Robert got married over the summer.

Noah Galloway (the double amputee) and his fiance ended their engagement that happened live on the show.

Peta is off because she's pregnant and is due early next year.

Yay, a new season! It'll be interesting. I hope Ryan Lochte isn't on - if he is, ABC is just grabbing the headliners for ratings. Boo.

Like I said, it'll be interesting...

I'm going to miss the first night because we cruise on September 10th. Hopefully I can catch up and remember to watch from my pvr before the second week.

Boo! No Tony this season! (Of course I should be happy for him because at least he won't have to lose a partner in the early going.)

Tony did win once at least. Season 15 with Melissa Rycroft, who I think was a last minute substitute.

Hopefully if Ryan and Amber are on the show, then they totally change what I think of them now.

- Enews says Derek Hough is coming back as a professional and Julianne Hough as a judge again.

- Brady Bunch actress Maureen McCormick, 60

- singer-songwriter Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, 57

- 7th Heaven star Beverley Mitchell is reportedly still in talks to join the competition, 35

- Wizards of Waverly Place actor Jake T. Austin, 21

- General Hospital actress Emma Samms, 55

As usual, most of the announced or "maybe" dancers are people I have never heard of. However, it's always interesting getting to know them over the course of the season.

Anyone heard if there will be three or four judges?

The Ryan Lochte thing? I know they had to book him before the faisco happened...I can't believe ABC doesn't have SOMETHING in that contract

to get him off the show:rolleyes:....and now Brazil wants to extradite him

back there......and if he is on the show, he needs to be voted off week 1.

If I sound judgmental about it? Oh well, it is how I feel......I haven't

watched the show in at least 2 seasons anyway......this one won't be

bringing me back.

I hope there will be 3 judges. There's too much talk with 4 judges and half the time, they run out of time and can only talk to 3 of them anyway.

Emma Samms? She played Holly on General Hospital years and years (and years) ago.

I read Ryan Lochte was signed up before his Rio crime.

There sure has been a lot of talk about Robert & Kym's wedding & the pre nup. They make such a handsome couple.

Emma Samms is the only "star" I have heard of.:o

I saw some coverage of Robert & Kym's wedding, but I didn't hear anything about a pre nup. Was there one? I assume with his wealth, yes, but I don't know.

I saw one of the female pros in a FB photo holding a football.

Apparently they gave clues to what it might mean.

The clues were....

He played his entire football career with the same team!

Has size 15 foot!

I'm a little confused that Et says Laurie Hernandez is joining the stars. Isn't she on tour with the rest of the final 5. I hope she is not doing both. Seems like a lot to expect of a 16 year old who just finished the olympics. I thought that was why Simone Biles said maybe next season.

I'm rooting for Indy Car driver James Hinchcliffe because he's one of my favourite drivers and Canadian. Surprised he's actually included since he is Canadian.

Feeling old right now finding that Vanilla Ice is a year younger at 48.

I may be getting my pros confused, but was it Sasha who found it challenging to dance with taller partners? If so, that definitely won't be a problem this time around.

For some reason, I anticipate a lot of butting of heads between Derek and Marilu Henner.

Getting the list on the second page. Is it me or does there seem to be a lot of older people on this season? And yeah, for once Derek doesn't have a young athletic natural dancer as a partner. But I bet Marilu will be awesome.
