Hi 2 from VA, We are on your cruise although will be getting off in Rome. We have been to Corfu and took a tour to see a couple of palaces. If I had to do it again, I would stay in town and walk around the fort area. Here is a link to some pictures from our day in the Corfu area.

We will be in Corfu in June, we had planned just walking around the port area, the fort and Old Town, plus we'll be there on a sunday when they play cricket on the green in Spianada Square

Another vote for DIYing Corfu, and Tom's Port Guide very useful.

There are 2 fortresses, one on the sea side of the town, the other on a hill on the inland side. Great views from both.

We used Corfu Taxi Tours at the beginning of the month and thought they were fantastic. Our driver was Spiros "2" -- a good friend of the owner, Spiros.

There's plenty to see in Corfu Town. You can either walk there, take the local bus or taxi from the Corfu Cruise Terminal into town.

WE took taxi for 80 e for 3 of us. Tooka us to Paliokastrica,beach and doped us back to DT. After a nice walk in DT we just garbed another taxi to port for 10 E
