Carnival cruise - Ebola

As most of you know, Carnival was in the news because of the Ebola scare.

We are to do Carnival within the next two weeks. If you are doing Carnival within the next few weeks, would you cancel your trip because of the Ebola viris?

I would only cancel once I heard there was a case actually on a specific ship. And I hope there are guidelines where they have to report that one case, as opposed to the rule similar to noro where it's a certain percentage.

Nope. The cabin - the one that housed the health care worker who DID NOT have Ebola - is probably the cleanest cabin in the fleet right now. In any fleet.

I think I would more likely do a Carnival Cruise than any other. They are more under the microscope because of what happened.

No way, but I have to admit that if I get some price drops thanks to those who are cancelling or not booking it wouldnt break my heart :D

I cruise in less than 2 weeks and I am not cancelling. I usually don't fly to the port, but this time I am. Still not cancelling. I am so looking forward to having a good time on this cruise.

There is no way I would cancel based on what has happened so far...very much a non event imo.

NOPE . if ebola was on the ship, I would just stay in my stateroom and order room service. ;)

Ebola is real and deadly, but if we allow a few idiots in the media to control our lives, we will never leave home. Media hype is why we are in the shape we're in, most know what I mean! :eek::eek:

Why would anybody cancel a cruise over something that didn't happen?

And even if it had happened it was thru no fault of the cruise line.

Nope. I'd even stay in the same cabin that the person was quarantined in. Go on your cruise...and keep the news turned off until you leave. ;)

People get killed driving to the airport.

People have died in plan carshes.

Trains have wrecked.

Buses have been in collisions.

Should I cancel my cruise because I might get hurt getting there?

I am going on the Glory on the 15th. I am taking the train there from San Francisco. I did alter my path to avoid Dallas. But as long as my ship doesn't have it I wouldn't cancel.

Flying out in 4 days. Not worried. I'm going and having fun. I probably would be more likely to encounter a hurricane than Ebola.

Last I checked, the USA does not have a epidemic going on like in Western Africa. So I would.

Agreed!! Well said.

DH and I have agreed that if we are catching Ebola, what better place to catch it than on a cruise. Seriously though, we sail in 19 days - I'm more nervous about catching a cold from a fellow airline passenger than anything on the ship.
