Time to Say Goodbye to OASIS for a little while

OASIS arrived early this morning back to Port Everglades to embark her transatlantic cruisers as she heads to Barcelona today at 5pm. She will do some European sailings, then drydock and on Oct 14 head back to Florida arriving in Port Everglades Oct 27/14

After sailing the Allure, I wonder what new upgrades the Oasis class ship will have done.

The dry dock work to be performed is the standard 5 year maintenance issues.

While she is there other cosmetic changes will be taking place I would assume but no formal announcement. Lots of speculation.

Broadway show is changing from Hairspray to CATS that has been confirmed and that OASIS post drydock will embrace Dynamic Dining.

It's going to seem strange not seeing her on the webcam every Saturday morning!!

To all of you sailing on her the next two weeks have a great voyage. We will be on the Oasis in November.

Friends on last week were told.....moving Izumi and relocating concierge lounge to where Dazzles currently is. The CL will become a restaurant as there is a kitchen already there; they are adding some new cabins and making changes to dining room in prep for dynamic dining next year. VCL will also be changing.....

I am not sailing on her until Nov 28th, 15....I am really interested in the Dynamic Dinning, I am sure they will have it down by our sailing:-)

According to RCI's facebook page, they are adapting the MDR for DD during drydock, but will not be implementing it until March 2015.

You can only keep the same wait staff if you dine in the same venue. Different venue, different wait staff.

3 weeks today we'll be flying from London to Barcelona to go on the Oasis, our first ever cruise, excited!

Welcome to CC and cruising~ :)

We just returned on Saturday. Concierge told us that diamond lounge will be moved to deck 4. Izumi will be made bigger. Concierge lounge will be moved to Viking crown area. Cabins will be added. They don't have a long time to do this so wondering if it will all get finished in time.

oh wow! that has come around so quick. I remember when the transatlantic and European itins were announced and thinking it was ages away.

9 days at sea in a row - ooooh dunno if i could cope with that!

Will miss seeing Lady O on the webcam every Saturday.

Will there be a ship replacing her for the time being? Or is Saturday gonna be a quiet day for the terminal?

Nothing replacing Oasis at Port Everglades while she is in Europe.

Always makes me nervous being on a ship right after a dry dock. I hope everything is finished! We will be on the Nov8th sailing.
