We dont know much about casinos, but want to learn. Whats the best way to play to have a chance to win? Craps seems like a lot of fun. We have a $65.00 a day budget. Whats our best bet? Slots or table games? Does anybody ever win?

Thanks

Craps is a great game but $65 is not really enough money to play with .I suggest penny slots with games that have a bonus .They are what we like to play ,they are fun when you get the bonus and you can win but not very often as they are not regulated like Vegas or here in Atlantic City so they set the payout percentage what they want.I would just do it for fun/entertainment and hope you win

If you go with the attitude that its entertainment you should have fun. I can tell you that all the game's the house has the edge. The worse is roulette and slots.

The best games with the lowest house edge is Blackjack and Craps.

The closest game to even money is craps, but as Mikel said you need a bigger investment. Next would be Roulette as there are 36 numbers plus 0 and 00 and they pay 35 to one. Red and Black bets are about even money. Next would be blackjack but there definitely a skill set which will increase your odds. There are a lot of silly table games which are all in favor of the house. Slots are fun and you can lose your money at a slower pace, so it's less painful. Yes, people win and I have seen some win big.

Of course MRPAYROLL would be against gambling. You have to think of gambling as entertainment. If you go thinking you are going to win you are a fool or an addict. Vegas and the gazillion casinos nationwide would not be in business if everyone had your outlook. I include X amount of dollars for "entertainment" if I win, I deposit it in the casino bank and play with their money. I do love a good poker game even with an electronic dealer.

Craps is a lot of fun, especially for a couple; however as others have stated you'll likely need a much bigger investment than $65 to play the line. You can simply play "numbers" and still keep it entertaining while you're learning, and then make a decision as to whether or not to invest a little more in order to play the line. You can do this $5 at a time (I think I remember the Carnival minimum being $5).

*Edited to add that they also offer classes in the casino during the day on how to play most table games. This may be a fun way to spend some time in the casino and learn a little more about any game before you start putting real money on the table. If you're considering craps, I would certainly go to one of these classes prior to playing.

If you don't know anything about the table games, the casinos do have classes before they open. If you do play the penny slots, you will need to play the max to win any jackpots. That could cost you anywhere from 1.50-2.50 a pull. Find a quarter slot with 5 coin max and you will get a better payback percentage. Ship slots are notoriously tight, but small jackpots can be won. Look at the casino as entertainment. If you win, good, if not, you were entertained by the lights and sounds.

when those hold em games first came out I bought stock,I thought they would be great for profit NOT lol. I think if they had poker games so man people would play and they would still get their rake.I would love to sit 4 or 5 hours on a sea day and play hold em

you do not have to play max to win. Last week I won a small mini progressive for almost $400 playing .60 cents a spin

I know nothing about gambling but can push a button on a slot machine. Sometimes I can even figure out what I am doing with them as they can be complex. I allocate $20 for the cruise (I also know what I don't know which keeps me cheap). So far on all but one cruise I have come home with $85 ish. Above the initial investment. I play penny slots- I like the one that is most obvious as you walk in as it is my theory that that one will pay out best to bring people in. It is pure entertainment for me.

If you want to play to win, ATL2LAS is correct with the bet size. If you want to play just for the entertainment, stick with a few pennies per pull. You can play for a long time with only a few pennies spent. 1.50-2.50 pulls and your money is gone after 30 pulls.

Slots are lots of fun. Put your money in and push the button. The more money you put in like $1.90 on penny slots the more you win. We won $1200 playing the penny and nickel slots. I made a mistake once and played what I thought was $1.90 max and it ended up being $4.00. My eyes got real big when I saw that $4 sign and it was too late, however, I had bells and whistles going and won $400. Nice mistake!lol

The table games with the lowest house odds are craps, baccarat, and blackjack. There are no baccarat tables on Carnival cruises so you'll only need to worry about craps and blackjack. Important to remember, these two games have low house odds when PLAYED CORRECTLY. I recommend learning the proper bets/strategy at wizardofodds dot com

Good advise and remember the house almost always wins

Your "Best Bet" is don't play at all unless you plan on losing your money. Their slots are very tight. Unless you understand the table game rules and strategy you are bound to lose. I would spend one day's budget on a nice dinner in the steakhouse as others have stated.

Hey, it's entertainment and I don't think the OP was looking to get rich. As far as the slots being tight - in my experience they're no tighter than most. I've played in Vegas, Biloxi, Seminole Hard Rock (unregulated) and on numerous ships. I've lost the fastest in Vegas!!!

I won over $600 on a bonus on Kitty Glitter and was only playing I think 60 cents - (may have been 50 cent, can't remember for sure), but it was the lowest bet - so you never know.

And like others have said, they give classes on some of the table games.

I play in a casino 2 or 3 days a week. You do NOT have to play max to win money, I have seen people win $5000 playing .40 cents per spin. About a month ago I saw someone get 100 free spins and won about $1000 playing .60 cents

maybe some people have more expendable income then you, it's fun. Playing in the casino is not going to prevent us from going to the Steakhouse, take shore excursions or pop for a $50 bottle of wine.

I've found casino slots to be as tight as Indian reservation casinos- very! They seem to be looser on nights between ports and tighter on sea days when you're a captive Audience.

I like slots with stacked wilds. They take a bit more cash but payouts seem to be be bigger.

Glad you can afford it. I'll take my money and buy Apple stock, much better return of my investment. There is nothing wrong gambling for FUN.
