First time platinum and a bit confused

I will be sailing in November as a first time Platinum, during embarkation I am a little confused about what I am allowed or not allowed to do. So I heard there is a separate line for Platinum for priority boarding. My question though is this, lets say if I get on the ship at 11:30 or 12, am I allowed to go to my room this early or do I have to wait till 1 o'clock to get in?

Thanks

Correct there will be a separate check-in area for Diamond and Platinum passengers. Once onboard your room will be ready for you. The big heavy doors to your hallway may be closed, but there will be a sign saying that Diamond, Platinum and FTTF rooms are ready.

That's great, thanks for the info!

yes there is a separate line for Priority embarkation. When you get to the terminal find the signs that say "Priority" and show the attendant your printed out fun pass. It should be stamped with "priority" in the upper right corner. They will guide you to the VIP lounge from there.

And now that you are Platinum, you basically have Faster to the Fun+, meaning that if the ship you are sailing on has FTTF then you can go straight to your cabin if you want. Since we have become platinum our cabin always has been ready when we get on board (even before they started FTTF). They make up the VIP cabins first. We used to just go in and drop our carry ons off in the cabin and then leave. But with FTTF we know we can stay if we want.

It seems that almost every port is different, so just look for, or ask for the entrance for "Priority" boarding as you approach the terminal building. You'll enjoy going around that LONG line. Congrats!

"SKY"

Thanks, I am a huge fan of cruising and this "Priority" thing is just an icing on the cake! I am excited :)

I skip the VIP Lounge in Miami because the room is small and feels really cramped. I sit in the general boarding area which is spacious with windows and I just let a Carnival staff member know that I am Platinum and let me know when to board with other priority members.:)

Congratulations on becoming platinum!

I agree with everything said so far. And be sure to point out to the guy that takes your suitcase before you check in that you are priority so that he can put the priority tape on your bag and get it into the correct location for it to be loaded early.

And sometimes you have to point out the priority stamp on your boarding pass as you are checking in. Doing so will ensure they point you in the right direction for priority check-in and boarding.

Have a great cruise on Conquest!

I can understand your point, I might do the same.

Thanks Winddawn! About the luggage, I always take it with me on the ship, I have a carryon and never check my bag anywhere, may it be the airline or ship.

After expedited boarding and cabin access, you also get priority tendering/disembarking at ports. And you will also have free laundry.

Cruiseelady, make sure you go into the VIP lounge to check in and get your S & S first as this is where your card is. Then you may leave if you wish.

Congratulations on reaching the Platium level.

Remember, while walking in the Priority Line, you will be zipping past folks in the regular line, be sure to do your best Royalty Wave!

Thanks

If you're leaving from the Port of Miami when you get to the Port you should be able to park right across the street. If you have a taxi or someone drop you off, when you get to the building and you are looking at it, you will enter all the way to the left side. There is a side entrance where a Carnival employee will need to see your ticket and photo id and then show you which line to get on... If you are carrying on all your luggage, have the driver drop you off as close to the end of the building as possible. From there they will send you thru security, and then escort you to the VIP Room.. Once on board the ship, regardless of what time it is, you will be able to go to your room and drop off your luggage.. Enjoy

We are leaving next Monday out of Miami and have never left from that port before. We are newly Platinum and have first time cruisers traveling with us. I know we will have to check in at different locations ... but after that ... do the 4 of us wait in the same area? Also, is there any way for them to board with us?
