tipping

Cunard's brochure will tell you suggested tip amounts....so just follow the guidelines!

How does tipping work?

During your cruise, you will receive service from many members of our staff in a variety of locations. For your convenience a gratuity will be added to your shipboard account on a daily basis for each guest (including children). The gratuity will be shared amongst those staff that helped provide and support your cruise experience, including the restaurant staff, stateroom stewards and accommodation staff, buffet stewards and others. Casino personnel and youth staff do not share in the gratuity as not all guests utilise this service. Please note, this is a suggested gratuity and, should you wish to remove it or make any adjustments, you may contact the Purser’s Desk before the end of the cruise.

Grill Accommodations: $13.50 USD per person per day†

Britannia Accommodations: $11.50 USD per person per day†

†Charges may vary or change without notice.

What about gratuities in the bars?

A 15% gratuity is added to your bar charges and dining room wine account. This is shared amongst the beverage staff and their support staff.

So you see...there really is nothing you need to do! They take care of the distribution for you!

Welcome to CruiseCritic!

Here is a link to the Cunard subforum of CruiseCritics:

You'll probably find lots of helpful information there.

Also, don't forget to sign up for (or at least read) the ROLL CALL for your particular cruise, so you can find out what others are planning on your cruise.

There may be some sort of meeting, or shared excursions, etc.

Enjoy your cruise!

What are your specific concerns? The daily, per person, gratuity will be added to your on board account. Any beverage purchase will have a 15% gratuity automatically added to the beverage bill.

Just a question, but I didn't see a cruise on the Queen Victoria going from Southampton to Sydney this coming January. Are you cruising in 2018? I see a cruise on the Queen Mary 2 cruising from Southampton to Sydney on 10, January 2017.
