GIBRALTAR INSTALLING 'WOW FACTOR' SUSPENSION BRIDGE

The new tourist attraction is expected to be ready by end of March

THRILL-seekers will soon have a new reason to visit Gibraltar, where work is currently underway on the installation of a 71-metre-long suspension bridge across a 50-metre-deep gorge at Anglian Way in the Upper Rock.

The high-flying footbridge is expected to serve as a new attraction in the government’s ongoing push to promote sustainable tourism in the Upper Rock, where it has undertaken refurbishment of walking trails and heritage sites.

“This will complement the innovative Nature Lover, History Buff, Let’s Go Ape and Thrill Seeker trails, marketed as part of a concerted drive to rebrand the Upper Rock and upgrade tourist infrastructure,” said the government.

I did find out that the bridge is located near the middle station of the cable car. So far the best way to get there seems to be walk down from upper cable car landing for us since Apr-Sept the cable car does not stop at the middle station. Looks like about 2000 m walk then either back up to upper cable car landing and ride down or walk from middle landing to bottom. Just told you everything I know and any more info would be great. Thanks
