Just curious with the new itinerary, and two stops if they received any on board credit, we travel next week on the dawn, I usually travel carnival and when the schedule changes they had compensated .. If they don't it's all good, just nosey!

We were diverted to Port Canaveral & Nassau on the Boston/Bermuda cruise in 2010 due to Hurricane IGOR. We recvd $50 OBC/cabin for the difference in port fees. No other OBC offered. I don't know whether NCL has a port fee for GSC, so it may be a higher refund for this cruise.

I was on the Breakaway in August when we got diverted from Bermuda to Florida/Nassau. We got $48pp port fee refunded. No additional OBC.

We sail this Friday on the Dawn. If there is an OBC given in lieu of visiting Bermuda, our plan is to donate that amount to the hurricane relief effort.

Personally I love sea days.

Me too, they're what cruising is all about.

Is the ship sailing full? Were there many cancelations?

Our thoughts and prayers are with the peolpe of Bermuda.

Woke up to a really rocky ship. I almost missed the meet and great due to seasickness!! Met really really nice people and members of the staff....The captain, cruise director and a bunch of others.....Ate breakfast and lunch in the buffet....Just left Moderno....AWESOME dinner and the wait staff is great!!

We were going to do the pub crawl, but there were so many people we just hung out at Topsiders all day.

Off to the show!!

Catbiri2, I survived Gonzalo and everything is good. I didn't have any damage but I did take the time out and post on the Bermuda form under Prayers for Bermuda, check that out and thanks for the concern. :)

Chips Ahoy (the best bartender in the world in Pearly Kings) is on vacation, and when he comes back he is going to The Breakaway...:(...we were very disappointed to hear that!!

Oh, no, so sad to hear that! Is Ruffo still there? He was the head bartender and did the martini tastings each sea day! Chips Ahoy was often helping him, too. If he is there, tell him the red Solo cup sailors are coming back Nov. 7! I can't wait!

Last night we went to Jose and Patti's "American Graffitti" show....IT WAS GREAT!! People were lined up everywhere to see them....Awesome entertainers!! We saw the illusionist, David DaVinchy, was extremely impressed!! We are almost into Nassau...Cant wait!!

Heard we are getting 67 OBC each to offset port charge differences, not sure if thats true, havent checked yet....So glad we got the UBP, it can be used on Stirrup Cay....

Havent won at all in the casino....:(

I,m so glad to see you made it safely !

We got a $20 obc off our bill at the end of last weeks cruise . I think it was cuz the port of Bermuda was closed most of Sunday and we got in late .

Have you tried Moderno for breakfast ?

Nassau was well...Nassau.....We walked around a bit....found Dunkin Donuts :D

Opened Senor Frogs, did way too many shots...It is a real fun place for the "partying" crowd.....

Hated the pushiness of the vendors....

Saw a dead rat in the road....Some random guy offered to sell Scott weed or coke....:eek: Time to get back on the ship. So we hung out at the pool on the ship for the rest of the day!!

Yesterday was Great Stirrup Cay....We were on the first tender. We took the Eco boat tour. It was ok....saw some marine life.....The guide was great. Then we went jet skiing...Oh my God!! It was tons of fun!! I rode my own. It was my 2nd time...The first was this past may in Bermuda. There wasnt a wake zone so we were able to go, go, go!!:cool: I kept up and wound up being #3....Which is good for me. :eek:

I am sooooo glad you're enjoying yourself & having a good time! Yay for the shots! I was worried about you yesterday because from what the webcam was showing, it looked liked it was raining. The weather for GSC also showed rain, so good for you for getting out there on the jet ski! How much fun! I wish I were back on the ship with y'all :)

Every Day at Sea is a Great Day

So different from Bermuda!! I was nervous in Nassau, have never been nervous in Bermuda!!

 

Really rough seas today and last night!! I went to bed about 10....Scott met up with some new friends and had a great night.

 

Hoping the seas calm down....I live in Weymouth, Ma and just read that they are having a terrible storm!! :eek:

We're still getting slammed in Quincy. We've had hurricanes that didn't leave this much of a mess.

I'm in Whitman, rain finally stopped but had plenty of rain yesterday and some good lightning last night. Wishing you smooth sailing!

Glad you made it back safely (if somewhat "bumpy"). Sounds like you made the best of it and had a good time--that's what counts.:)

Off the ship in record time!! Had to wait a half hour for our ride. We had an awesome room steward. Winstone.
