Oasis in St. Thomas

Can anyone tell me where we will dock in St. Thomas? I thought I read it was Crown Bay, but can't find the thread...

It has been several years since I was at Crown Bay. Is the port more developed in terms of shopping, bars, restaurants?

It will be Crown Bay, at least it was for the NYE sailing. This was my least favorite port by far between Nassau, St Thomas, and St Marteen. When you get off there is shops and what not, but thats it you aren't within walking distance of anything so your options are to cab to some of the different beaches like Megans Bay. Do some research on the St Thomas portion of this board and go with a plan, it's not like Nassau and St Marteen where there is a huge beach strip full of shops, bars, and wave runners within a 5-10 minute walk.

I was there in November on the Oasis. The shopping is the same typical stuff that you see at most ports, but probably not as many shops. I only saw a few places for food.

I'll be there in December and plan to take a taxi to Imperial Jewelers about a 20 minute ride.

Why is Quantum able to dock at Havensight, but Oasis is too big? I thought Q was a Mega ship also.

Emerald Beach aka Lindbergh Beach is a nice quiet beach just a few minutes cab ride from Crown Bay. Some people have walked there (you can find detailed directions on the St. Thomas port of call board) It is in front of a hotel, and there are facilities there.

Quantum is only a bit bigger than the freedom class. It is still quite a bit smaller than the Oasis

It's the depth factor...Crown Bay used to be a submarine dock.

@travelbuddies, you need to fix your signature. It's making the posting window about three times as big as a regular display so I can't see anybody's posts without having to scroll around.

The current Google Earth imagery shows an Oasis Class ship docked at Crown Bay, if a visual aid helps you........

Can you see ships docked at havensite from crown bay? On oasis in February, and was hoping to see Quantam, as she's scheduled in St. Thomas on the same day....😊
