I will post an updated list from time to time. These updates will probably be posted on a Monday but not necessarily every week – just when there are sufficient new entries.

Host Walt has kindly agreed to help by closing old threads when new ones are created in the same way he does with the weekly HAL Cruisers' List. I am very grateful to him for his continued support with all this.

I do, however, need everyone's help by keeping their ears and eyes open for possible charters, groups or dry docks and posting the information here.

I can't take all the credit. My original list was based on information from trvlcrzy.

mafig, just because your cruise is not on the list does not guarantee that there are no groups onboard. I list all the cruises I am aware of but that does not mean that other cruises have no groups.

Carol: thank you for doing this.

You did however list Zaandam as being in drydock / Freeport 4th to

17th October 2013......Isn't she going in GBSY earlier than that this year?

She was originally scheduled for the yard visit last fall (either Hunter's in SFO or Esquimalt engraving in Victoria) ...when they dcided to ''substitue'' this for a '' at sea wet dock'' during an impromptu Vancouver-SanDiego-MexRiv voyage.

She's beyond overdue for a proper stint in the yard....

IMO

Again, Thanks for your contribution to our ship addiction !!!:D

Cheers

I am sorry but I do not know what GBSY means - not a term I have come across before.

The October dates are the latest information I have (from a previous post by Copper10-8). There doesn't appear to be any earlier gap in Zaandam's schedule to suggest it is going to be any sooner.

Can you give more information or a link to somewhere suggesting an earlier dry dock?

As for the quilters conventions, I would not worry nor avoid it. There are sewing machines set up in one classroom and maybe 25 ladies or sometimes a man or two as well. These are very nice people and should not interfere with your cruise at all.

We have had them on our dining room tables and they are very pleasant.

Some charters, though, have hundreds of participants and that can be rough. No doubt about that.

Hi,

Grand Bahama Ship Yard ( Freeport)

My question was more an opinion : I thought she is simply way beyond due for a good and proper visit to the yard, specially since she had been schduled, ( initially...) for such a visit last October .....If it's now this upcoming October, so be it..

Cheers

Rod

Every Monday I start a thread which contains a list of CC members who have future HAL cruises booked.

4 days before each of these cruises I post a 'Bon Voyage' thread. Every Bon Voyage thread contains a link to the latest list.

Here is where you will find the current list (7th January).

If you have any HAL cruises booked, add a post to that thread giving the date, the ship, the length of the cruise and where you are cruising to and I will include you on next Monday's list.

I agree. I don't think the quilters are likely to be a rowdy bunch or take over lots of public spaces :D

I have included them on the list so that people can make up their mind whether or not they want to cruise with them :)

Thanks, Carol,

There will be quilters on my next cruise. I'm looking forward to meeting a few of them, and maybe seeing some of their work.
