  1. Love reading your reviews and there hasn't been a Jade report in a couple months Planning to sail on the Jade later this year.
  2. I like both NCL and RCL. NCL is similar to RCL. We sailed the Epic in 2015 around the Med with our son and loved it although its bathroom design is controversial. NCL has some great itineraries. We are scheduled to sail the NCL Jade out of Greece this Fall on our first cruise as empty nesters. Would look at their newer ships if I was still taking children.
  3. I think Oceania is wise basically waiting a month, possibly. No need to make an immediate decision. What's one more month?
  4. While, I agree with youtuber- CruiseHabit that if they are going to do testing, it should be done at the port rather than 2-3 days in advance.

  6. You could try and fly stand-by if they have availability for an earlier flight.
  7. We did this itinerary back in 2012 on the Explorer out of Bayonne. We loved it.
  8. Personally, I like both lines. My favorite ship was the Harmony of the Seas and the entertainment was top notch. However, I like NCL's varied itineraries, the wonderful spa, and that NCL seems to renovate their cabins more often. While the Harmony was my favorite ship, the Pride of America itinerary was our favorite. Looking forward to sailing the Jade this Fall out of Greece. Next booked cruise after that will be the Celebrity Apex. Variety is the spice of life at least for me.
  9. when using promotional airfare. do they ever book overnight layovers?
  10. Definitely check out Harmony, Symphony, Oasis, and Odyssey of the Seas. They also are fantastic ships that have tons to do. Harmony, Symphony, and Oasis are all Oasis class. The Odyssey has a seaplex with bumper cars instead of the ice rink.
  11. It is only a matter of time before testing is dropped on all lines. Keep in mind that there is no testing for airline travel, at Disney, or at all inclusive resorts. The whole world is a petri dish right now.
  12. If I got a 2nd booster in April, can I get the new shot in October?
  13. I believe the Israeli study did say that your chances of catching covid are reduced 4-5 weeks after the 2nd booster. We got our 2nd booster in late April. Our son came home from college in mid-May with covid and we never caught it from him. We also went to an event in May where we were sitting with someone who tested positive 2 days after the event. We didnt catch it from him either. Maybe, we were just lucky but I attributed it to the 2nd booster.
  14. If you book a promotional airfare deal, can they give you an overnight layover?
  15. Sounds good to me. I have flown Alitalia back in 2015. When do you leave and how far out did you get your flight information? Thanks.
  16. It was just reported by Cruise Radio that HAL is dropping pre-cruise testing for certain sailings in July on the Rotterdam. P & O had already said they were doing the same thing. For both lines, these are sailings to Norway and they are both Carnival brands
  17. Can you make your reservations in advance through the app or do you need to wait until onboard?
  18. The lack of communication regarding the cancellation of your excursion stinks but I like how you improvised and still had a great day.
  19. I received an upgrade email yesterday. It gave me two different category staterooms to bid on. Can I bid on both? If so, how are the bids decided?
  20. Have you told the 12 year old about the seaplex? My son went on the Quantum when he was 12 and it was new and he loved it.
