It is only money and you can't take it with you when you die. We are spending our daughers' inheritance.
  2. You could travel with my daughter. She flew to Florida and went on a 10-night Eastern with a small carry on. We had 2 large suitcases and 2 carry ons.
  3. Good to hear. We are booked for 1/30 and our ship doesn't dock until 1:00. I have been wondering if I should cancel?
  4. We will be there in 2 weeks and will post when we get home.
  5. Or you could grab a cab and go to Mahahual. Bars, shops and beach clubs.

Thank you, but if they don't have it I will be back in May.😁

They have been in all three ports that we have been to on Cozumel. Looking forward to getting more vanilla in 2 weeks.😉
  8. At least you have a chance. Unfortunately, Ginger D was wearing some Black Hills Gold hoops that I had given her as a birthday gift when we stepped outside and one blew overboard. We take the other one on more cruises with the hope of meeting a pirate that we can gift it to. I know that I'm not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition, but I don't care.
  9. I think that it is called The Wet Lizard, or some kind of Lizard. I'm old and don't remember much.
  10. We parked at the port our first trip to NO. After seeing the broken glass in the parking lot we have since used Machu Picchu Parking. They have a walled lot with covered parking, shuttle service and good people. In fact, we are booked there next month.
  11. Book Nachi Cocom and skip the crowds. Quite beach club that limits guest to 130. Food, drinks, massage, pool, and nice beach. No good snorkeling from shore, but they can take you to a reef. I think that taxis are $18 each way.
  12. I don't know if there is a tour on Cozumel. We have been to 7 different beach clubs and have snorkeled at all of them. Have never seen a turtle. There is a place on the main land that is doable from Playa del Carmen. I think that it is at Akumal.
  13. I was able to print the luggage tags and the general info but not docs. I thought that I could after final payment. Nope. I called and they gave me a date when I could do online check-in and print docs.
  14. I forgot a flashlight once, but it was on the ship. I had a really neat magnetic light that I stuck to the wall by our bed. Really handy when you need to hit the can in the middle of the night. Our cabin steward probably appreciated it.
  15. We are Platinum on Carnival, but have sailed on 3 other lines with a total of 19 sailings. Princess was, by far, the most sedate cruise that we have done. That would explain only one sailing with them. There was very little going on in the lounges with little to do in the later hours. If you just want to veg it is a good choice for you. That said, there is a lot to be said for the other lines. Carnival always has something going on. Royal Caribbean is very similar in service, but we like the ship layouts and decor better. NCL had the best entertainment that we have seen. Will I sail on Princess again? Maybe when we get old. We are only in our early 70's now.
  16. We snorkeled Cemetary Beach on our first visit. Nice beach but the snorkeling isn't much. Second trip we booked a trip to Stingray City with Captain Marvin. It was a good trip. We snorkeled a reef, played with stingrays and then went to Rum Point for lunch. I could live at Rum Point. Then we tried hit Eden Rock on our third visit. Saw some tarpon at the restaurant where we got into the water. The wind was bad and we never made it to Eden Rock. Last trip we took a taxi to Smith Cove. Not much in the way of fish. Taxi was to pick us up at 2:00 and was a no show. We walked back to the pier with a stop for lunch at the Sunset House. I have heard that there is a ship, the Kittiwake at Cheeseburger Reef. It is to the left of the tender pier near McDonalds. That should be a neat snorkel.
  17. We have been to several different beach clubs on Cozumel, but Chankanaab is the only one that we have been to multiple times. We will probably be there next month and then again in May.
  18. We have been with 4 different lines and prefer Royal Caribbean even though we are Platinum on Carnival. I will say that the best entertainment that we have had was on Norwegian. At present we have a trip booked on RC and CCL. Just waiting for a go at Celebrity. We had a Southern Caribe booked with them and Covid shot it down in 2020.
  19. Just booked Discount for our May cruise. $77 for 6-night cruise. We usually park at EZ-Cruise but they didn't have the Voyager of the Seas listed for May 9. They had it for May15. I sent an email asking why and never got an answer.
  20. We have a 5 night to Coz and Costa Maya in January on Carnival and a 6 night on RC to Coz, CM, and Roatan in May on RC. The May cruise will be special with both of our daughters. Our youngest has been on two easterns with us but never to Mexico. Our eldest is a newbie. Work and raising a family has been a deterrent. I am really looking forward to this one.
  21. We have often told our cabin steward to only make the bed in the evening. We have a tendency to nap on sea days, plus, it is more like home. I never make my bed.😉
  22. I can't think of anything that I have forgotten, but my wife cannot say the same thing. We had driven to New Orleans and checked into a hotel when she made the discovery. The only bra that she had was the one that she had on. Now I liked the free look but she, being a modest person, was in a panic. Luckily there was a K-Mart next door. I still remember some of the looks that I got while digging through the bra section of the store. It all turned out well in the end. We boarded the ship the next day and she had all of the support that she needed.
  23. Crewsweeper is spot on about West Bay and West End. Nice beaches and easy to access via taxi or through online tour companies. We have done Roatan several times and Coxen Hole is one place that I will have a guided tour before I get off of the ship. We tried a DIY day and didn't get 50 yards from the gate before we were mauled by vendors. Roatan is a decent stop if you dodge Coxen Hole.
