  1. An over-the-door shoe rack that we use for just not shoes. Helps us keep the clutter on the counters down to a minimum.
  2. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experience. Looking forward to reading the rest.
  3. This category is a Club Suite and not a regular Suite so there are no extra Latitudes points without a promotion.
  4. Our Haven cabin for our March 18, 2023 Epic sailing has had five price drops since we booked this past April totalling $2,496.60. For this sailing, my gut is telling me the price will drop even further. If your sailing has a lot of cabins left in the category you want, I would wait. When the cabins available become sparse, I would book.
  5. Thank you for this topic as we will be sailing on the Jewel for the first-time next August and have only sailed on the breakaway class ships. Thank you for your explanation. This is exactly what I thought with my research. Right now, we are booked in an inside cabin with the intention of upgrading ourselves a few months out from sailing to a balcony or a non-Haven Suite. For us, the best part of our stay in the Haven was the restaurant so in our minds, it would not be worth it for us to upgrade to a Haven Suite since all of the other amenities are basically the same as in a non-Haven Suite. Am I correct?
  6. I have also been following all of the reviews so far, and I feel the same way.
  7. We are booked for our first Alaskan cruise for next August. We choose the Jewel for two reasons--longer port times then the Bliss and Encore and we wanted to embark/depart in Vancouver instead of doing the round trip out of Seattle. I do realize that they do not have the best "parking" places, but that is okay with us since we will have longer days in ports.
  8. As was Margaritaville on the Escape when we first booked while it was being built. Then, a few weeks in, they started charging.
  9. I will be following along your journey and think you are off to a great start in sharing the details so far of your upcoming sailing. As someone who often travels with their parent (in my case my mid-eighties father), I do understand it makes the vacation a slightly different experience and does add more planning. However, I do cherish the times he has travelled with us.
  10. Thank you for the new information. I will be sure to reserve one as soon as our excursions open up for our Encore sailing.
  11. Do you still own the shares? I always wait till about 6 weeks before our sailings since I always wondered what would happen if I requested it a lot sooner when there would be a possibility that we sold our shares in the interim.
  12. We are paying $599 for a cabana on our Encore February 2024 sailing.
  13. How is the very end of August? We are booked on the 8/26/23 Jewel, Seward to Vancouver.
  14. And the chartered guests get a huge discount also? One thing taken over a restaurant or club for a few hours, but totally another thing taking over a venue for the whole duration of the cruise.
  15. I definitely would not be happy at all. Also, I have never heard (read) about the Vibe being non available due to a charter--did not even cross my mind that it could be a possability.
  16. Agree with you both---I do not need to chitchat and cruiseny4life's response was adorable.
  17. I was one of the posters with a lot of questions a few weeks back. Thank you for taking the time making the Alaska Railroad Map. It does make it easier to understand.
