I think the changes are happening more in the past month or so & more on the way as I said will see what Oceania looks like in the fall I do not think you compare limited capacity controlled cruises that were in the past year with full ships now JMO

my guess is when you arrive on the 12th check with Oceania

I am not booking any at the moment When supply issues & flights get sorted & my life is settled a bit more will look to see what is out there when the time comes Will not be a main stream line prefer ships under 1500 pax under 1000 even better

Are you forced to buy stuff onboard ?? We only use up OBC because it is use it or lose it

Viking have cruises in May & Sept along with Silversea go for the itinerary not just the cruise line

I think Aza does it for dinner & not sure any other dining venues are open I think I read it is the party BBQ or room service I could be wrong Standing in line to pick up food is not my favourite thing 🙂

I take the open bottles home but leave the new unopened ones Yes I hate those pump dispensers in the shower also

Best to talk with your wallet They need the income from people to sustain the business Those of us regulars might be not as important any more just think of all the perks they could save if the regulars would drop O as their cruise line of choice They will new people with no loyalty perks to pay for a few years & those that have 60+ cruises will be gone with the new wave of cuts happening I will be waiting to see how this year goes before booking a cruise on O Checking other options

Maybe O should go back to charging for the internet then maybe people would log off when they are not using it They could off say 100 mins per cruise as a perk for Bronze O club members then more for the each level attained I maybe am on the internet to check my mail check CC that is about it I am on vacation JMO

I am not sure I understand your post You paid the deviation fee but left the arrangements up to Oceania ? Could you not chose the days & flight you wanted? Oceania books the initial flights but when the airlines cancel flights or changes times I do not believe there is much anyone can do even the airlines are no help when things go pear shaped I know the past year or so airlines have been a hot mess & still are in some places

I doubt they will give you a reply I agree if you can cancel without penalty do it JMO

The airfare is not free it is included but you can remove the air portion & the cruise price drops 2 for 1 is a marketing gimmick & do with they would remove it just look at the Cruise only fare PP that will give you the price of the cruise

The trouble i would have with that is paying cash well in advance then something goes wrong like say a pandemic or the line goes bankrupt you are SOL I know people do it but I am not as trusting with thousands of $$ of my money

I am just guessing but I think most of the flights to Europe will be late evening so you are arriving in the morning then you will be taken to the hotel that is part of the package deal if there is a glitch in the airlines & you do not arrive in time to use the hotel hopefully you can get a refund We have only used the package once way back in 2004 ..all went well back then After that we book our own hotels & fly in a day or more early YMMV

Maybe they are trying to save on the amount of little bottles of stuff getting thrown out at the end of your cruise or people taking the new full bottles home ??? Maybe they will put the refillable pump system in like on other lines

pre covid I did notice the 6pm slot on a couple of our cruises so not new

It seems more people are migrating from main stream lines & think Oceania is the same so in order to have good food you need to be in the Specialties We like the GDR I think right now the food is an issue but who knows what the future sailing will be like sounds like so very poor cooks

Maybe a Luxury line thing Crystal also had self serve buffet More main stream like than Luxury IMO

Well if I was able to get 50% of BIZ class that would be great but Oceania does not have good fares for BIZ in my experience You can always ask then do the math see if it works for you

The Concierge in the lounge works limited hours but sure ask them if you are there I would just go to the desk on deck 5 early or even when you return to the ship after being ashore It is a crap shoot whether you get extra slots or not unless you are in a top suite (OS OC VS) JMO
