  1. Just an FYI. We are currently onboard the Divina (18 Sept). As of two weeks before sailing almost every cabin was shown as sold out. HOWEVER, there are only 2300 pax onboard with 53 in YC HARDLY a sell out. Was informed that they are limiting capacity to try to increase customer satisfaction. Your mileage might vary.
  2. Just to note the laundry service is at a fee; it is not free unlike other lines when you have status.
  3. We tried to find out and the crew has NO idea. But the upgrade offers (as far as we can tell) were sent to data mine - to see WHAT people were willing to pay.
  4. It is not ENCOURAGED, however it is certainly allowed. And appreciated.
  5. You pay double. I just got an upgrade offer for an upcoming solo cruise. It would cost more even at the minimum bid to upgrade than to change cabins and pay the difference outright. Definitely NOT recommended for solos.
  6. Not applicable on MSC. Once you log in you cannot change devices
  7. You could theoretically walk outside on deck 15 to Le Muse, but the inside route is to go from YC down to 7, all the way across... take break for glass of wine at Cafe di Bacio if needed, then continue walking and walking to the last deck of Elevators. Hit 15, go up. Eat, rinse & repeat 🙂
  8. @SingleandnotminglingRepeat after me - I will not worry about what it says on my embarkation time, I will not worry.... Book your transfer. You will be accommodated at the port. The port workers are NOT MSC employees. They want to keep you happy and get you onboard as fast as possible. PS - you don't want to get to the port at 3pm! You will have missed a good 3-4 hours of holiday by the time you get onboard! 🍾
  9. Check other postings.... unfortunately the dinner menus have not changed in a loooooooooong time.
  10. Yes, the guests next to us are getting water for their CPAP machine, no issues.
  11. Depends on how many guests are on the ship! Can be as early as 5:15 if there are 3 (or 4) seatings.
  12. Is this for a 3 day perhaps? If so, you cannot book until you are onboard. If a 4 or 7 night it may be because it is rather far out and/or final payment has not been made. I will suggest, however, that you look at the rate for the "all in Plus wifi" booking --- depending on the sailing it presents a HUGE savings vs adding the same beverage package separately.
  13. On the Divina the YC restaurant, Le Muse, is all of the way AFT>>>>>> on deck 15. So you have to go down to 7, walk across the length of the ship, take elevator up to 15. If you are escorted by a butler you look like either 1) a convict or 2) lost little birdie... (Just Kidding..) On the Meraviglia, Seaside, etc the YC rest in within the bubble 🙂
  14. Agree to a certain extent HOWEVER the long, long walk from YC to Le Muse is a design flaw. If you want to stay in the YC bubble then the bigger ships provide for that. Otherwise the Divina is certainly one of our favorite ships
  15. We are onboard this sailing 🙂 The YC Director is Rafaello (Italy) who is charming. The YC Maitre D' in Le Muse is Mauricio (a total hoot!!!) and the HD is Minoj (India), also a delight (but always running around!). There are 2300 total pax onboard, with 53 (including one toddler) in the YC. Our biggest discussion is to WHY the cruiseline showed this sailing as fully sold when in fact it's less than 1/2 capacity.
  16. We are talking about YC here. There is a dress code. Unfortunately the bullied Maitre D's by the "it's my cruise I'll do what I want" folks are afraid to enforce it." IMO if you want to wear flip flops and shorts go to the buffet.
  17. they are saying that if you book directly with MSC you will lack an ombudsman to intervene on your behalf should something happen...
  18. Not entirely correct. You can see that there used to be 5% + (up to another 15%) on "select sailings." This was an older version of the Voyagers Club that you have posted above. The current one has benefits based on how far out you book.
  19. Sitting here at Ocean Cay right now and I'M CONFUSED by this thread 🙂....We were at the YC beach yesterday and our boulder/rock buddies were exactly where they always are... 🙂Not sure where the "other side" is
  20. You can only book your dining venue date and time once you are onboard.
  21. You will need to cancel and rebook in order to get the new price. They do not honor price adjustments.
  22. You will need to make arrangements to do so. It's not an issue in Europe but you need to be accounted for on the ship. Imagine if you got off and then the ship was being held waiting for you to return at the end of the day 🙂
  23. In the list of things that'd I would be concerned about this would rank a firm 99 out of 100. MSC has many more issues than this 🙂
