  1. I'll steal another poster's thunder and advise scrolling a bit on this board to find similar posts.
  2. With airline issues, I wouldn't fly to a place I don't need to be to take a train. Flying straight to FLL is a better plan.
  3. I shall post upon my return! 😀
  4. Those numbers look good--but how much is your hotel room? I'm riding down the day of the cruise, so also saving a night's hotel.
  5. I booked a roundtrip in December to catch my HAL cruise. I had a coupon code for 30% off and am traveling solo, so my ticket was cheaper than that. I figure with parking ($120), gas, and aggravation, it's coming out about even with driving. I'm testing it out because I'd also like to use it in May when I'm taking a transatlantic. I don't want to have to rent a car one-way to get to the port in that case.
  6. Is your ship docking at PortMiami or Port Everglades? That would make some difference. It being a Saturday means traffic should be better than a weekday, but then again it's a holiday weekend, so you might want to have, at a minimum, a good backup plan.
  7. Yelp ratings factor not at all into my business decisions. Meanwhile, what are your actual questions? Perhaps someone here can answer them.
  8. I've parked at Port Everglades at least a dozen times (too lazy to do a count) and have never had a problem finding a space. No need for a reservation, which is why they don't offer them.
  9. When is that gratuity charged? I bought a pass this week for my cruise in December and was charged only $149.
  10. Yes, that's the part I actually understood.
  11. I don't understand your question. If you are Elite, put your items in the bag, note the items on the form, and write "Elite" on the form. You should not be charged.
  12. The OP's questions have been answered here: Duplicate posts.
  13. "without having to spend the night in Fort Lauderdale."
  14. I'm not sure what your question is. Are you worried about taking resources from residents who need them? 🤔 We've got so many tourists in FL at any given time that two more aren't going to matter. Enjoy your cruise.
  15. He can drop off you, the scooter, and your luggage at the curb near the entry and then park the car. Depending on the terminal, he may be parking at a garage across the street.
  16. Concierge on Celebrity is not like Concierge on DCL. You get lunch in the MDR on boarding day (maybe--reports are that sometimes it's during the cruise), extra Captain's Club points, and on some ships, a slightly larger cabin. That's about it. Yes, there's a Concierge team, but they work limited hours and are available to more than just Concierge cabin travelers. BTW, most "veranda" cabins on Beyond are infinite verandas: not a veranda but a window that opens.
  17. I did a Google map for the distance. Not sure how long you're staying pre- and post-cruise, but there are more interesting places to stay.
  18. I'm not sure why I'd expect menus for 2024 to be available in 2023. Given the changes Celebrity is making, the menus may change several times before your cruise.
  19. You'll need a passport if you are sent by plane to Nassau to catch up with the ship. I'd book flights a day early.
