  1. Will be interesting to see if they are now using a different Room Service Menu for CS and above. I'll let you know 45 days from now. Yea. Check-In opened this morning.
  2. I definitely don't have any insider information I could hazard a guess. 1. The farther out the more people book to hold the cabin and then closer to sailing cancel or move the reservation. I know this is true of our April 22, Apex TA. For a long time it was totally sold out but the closer to final payment cabins started opening up. I haven't counted but lots of cabins are now available. 2. With the new ships, Celebrity has more E-Class ships than ever before, which might equate to more inventory.
  3. Before disparaging the OP it would be helpful to check out Apex menus on sailings more than two weeks in the future. I checked all my cruises April 15, 22 and May 14. On all these cruises for all main restaurants all that is currently posting are Kid's Menus and Vegiterian
  4. I know that they have had Heineken Draft in Luminae. I asked the bartender about it and he indicated it was a small 5 L draft canned beer with carbonation.
  5. If you look at your booking on line it will let you know when it will open for CheckIn The App will also show the checkin date. My April 15 opens for CheckIn tomorrow - Exactly 45 days out. I have seen it open a day or two earlier and a couple days later.
  6. I've always had a Premium Package. I believe you pay the full amount like bottled water. All are under the $ limits of the Classic Package but just not covered. I hope others with experience can let us all know how they handle the cost. Personally I don't care for them but others say they have them put ice in the mixer to make it more like a Iced Smoothies If you are Elite or above they also had a couple different smoothies that are included in the Free Continental Breakfast.
  7. No. The menus are usually not finalized until about 7 days to 10 days prior to your sailing. They will be updated at least by the time you set sail. Often if you select a current cruise you can get a preview of the menus.
  8. Jeannette - Enjoy reading your Live post. I was catching up and you had my adrenaline running as I read of you new adventures of driving to Detroit. Was so happy to see your posts of arrival into Florida and the pictures of your hotel room.
  9. Interesting to read your opinions. We are long term Celebrity Cruiser and will be trying Ponant for the first time on a "teaser" cruise in September. Many of the things @Host Jazzbeau brought up are the reason to test the waters and see if Ponant is for us. I'm sure the Great Lakes cruise will not be the "full" experience of some of the expedition cruises but should help us determine if it is a fit. We have really good friends who only sail Poanant and have been urging us to try them.
  10. Charla - curious about the room service menu. The menu for a Sky Suite should be the same for the CS, RS and PS. Is there anything on the back side. The one I posted yesterday on a different thread had the same items as yours but listed the others on the back side. Regardless - If you want any of those items, just write on the menu. I always write in a Cappuccino The additional items are showing on the other suites menus on different ships but for some reason the Room Service Menu not working for Apex.
  11. Millennium was also the first ship we ever sailed back in 2001 and still have a fondness for her. I really miss the Olympic. Remember the Cheese Cart?
  12. 60 vs 50 cycles won't affect at all --- it's the voltage that's important. I use the 220 plugs all the time with everything from my laptop to USB charging blocks. Most dual power devices about everything manufactured in the past 10 years play nicely.
  13. I would be surprised if it were not dual voltage. Look on the side or cord and you should see the input voltage - if it says 100-240V then it is dual voltage. If it is only 100-120 DO NOT plug it into the 220V adapter you will fry it. Since there are 110V US plugs you should use that instead
  14. In most e-mail clients you can white list Celebrity.com to prevent them going to Spam.
  15. I've been on a number of cruises and always get the Survey right about the time they Zero out the ship (about 9:30 on turn around day). Would check your profile to make sure you have the correct email address. Also check to make sure you have opted in for marketing promotions. Finally check you Spam folder as mine sometimes get filtered out.
  16. Not unusual for some of the more exotic cruises. As you indicated many TA get block allocations to sell as groups but at some point the unsold cabins come back into inventory. Couple strategies. Have either Celebrity our your TA wait list you for you cabin of choice. Check daily- To make easy I do a search and go to the page that you choose the cabin type - then bookmark. Saves lots of time. Example: https://www.celebritycruises.com/booking-cruise/selectRoom/stateroomCategory?pID=EG12K163&sDT=2023-12-09&sCD=EG&sCT=CO&roomQuantity=1
  17. Not always the voice of reason. Haaahaaahaaa. After teaching that University Course on Addictive Behavior for 5 years I finally thought I would try what I taught and stop smoking. Of course I chose to stop caffeine on the same day. There is a very easy way to stop - Don't have the first. Happy to say I never had the First for the past 34 years. I am however still addicted to Caffeine
  18. Don't you love it when you see everyone bag out and know you don't have to rush back and pack? Curious about Fine Cut - is it still open to the Grad Foyer or did they put in glass walls to help mute the noise?
  19. Thanks for pointing out. I once read the fine print an realized it wasn't for me.
  20. Thanks for the well balanced review of your cruise. Happy to see you had a wonderful time. I have to agree - the OVC scares me when so many people misbehaving and not using proper buffet etiquette. I guess it's no wonder many refer to it as the pigs trough. It is especially concerning when reading the new CDC Warning of Shigella - a drug resistant intestinal bacteria.
  21. It seems like you are getting the regular prices. I'm not sure what you mean by a 10+ day as the current prices in the US are on a per night basis - you may be able so save some by booking on line and getting the current sale discount. Second option is to check what the additional would be for Tips, Drink Package and Internet and calculate if that would save you money I just looked at my Cruise Planner for 3 cruises coming up a 7 Night, a 15 night and 11 night Prices are the same - Premium 34.99 / day pp but on sale for 29.99 Basic 19.99 and on sale for 16.99
  22. Generally last call is at 9:00 and around 9:15 they begin processing Back to Backs - which can't be started until the ship is zeroed out.
  23. We have only sailed Edge so far. Apex will be our second e-Class. Year back when Murano was Olympic on Millennium we ate in Murano every night on a 14 night cruise. After the first night the Maitr 'd told us we would no longer give us menus and the chef would prepare something off menu each night. Even the wait staff didn't know what was coming out so had to scramble to get the correct table where. On a couple nights other guests would ask what we were having and he would say.... oh they have special dietary requirements. I think we were having Shrimp Scampi that night. One night he prepared a Raspberry Souffle for desert. It was incredible. Only downside was I put on 10 pounds ... ugh.
  24. In my experience the window placard is for RS and above. Even then they police officer wouldn't allow our Uber to go to the area. It doesn't help for entry into the port... only to get closer to the "Special Delivery Desk" where upper suites are asked to stop by and then escorted inside.
  25. I've not done it but read from others that did and they loved it.
