  1. My cruises did not go to the Netherlands. Silhouette is based in Southampton In my case the UK had dropped all regulations including quarantine if you test positive in the UK. Instead they SUGGEST you quarantine for 5 day. There have been a couple threads including @Ex-Airbalancer above who had experience in the Netherlands. In his case Celebrity took his passport and turned it over to the Dutch Authorities who only returned after his quarantine. He had lots of trouble getting it back. I will let him give his personal experience.
  2. I missed our 3rd cruise. I tested the last of the 2nd and was tossed off the ship in Southampton. I tested about 10 hours before the B2B testing and had tested negative. I guess it's all about timing.
  3. I've come to agree with you. As vigilant as I was on our B2B I contracted Covid. I was vaxed and boosted, wore mask 100% of time outside cabin except in Retreat always 10 feet from others and Luminae always 6 feet or more away from others. Never rode an elevator. But with 2 Butlers, 1 Stateroom Attendant and a Sommelier testing positive it was inevitable whether by touch contact or other means I still caught it. I was very lucky that it was so mild I would have never guessed I was positive had it not been for the b2B test.
  4. Cookies were available in both al Bacio and Ocean View in Ice Cream area. They had the "healthy" ones in Aqua Spa Cafe
  5. Effective this Sunday The Biden administration will today announce the end of its requirement that people entering the country test negative for Covid-19, a senior administration official has told news outlets. According to Reuters, the move will go into effect for US-bound air travelers on Sunday at midnight.
  6. Another option might be one of the new services that do proctored tests with ANY test which I would think would cover regular antigen tests available in UK pre-cruise. https://onpoint-testing.com/product/certified-teleservice-covid-testing/?gclid=CjwKCAjwyryUBhBSEiwAGN5OCHNIpbqRJyWDeYQSvgqh7KwesMLm_fQm1o7f8WQCiqqUHLDDmKQJAxoC77kQAvD_BwE Virtual Proctoring | Covid Testing by Total Testing Solutions
  7. I did the unlimited package on Silhouette. It only included picture in and around the ship. Due to crew not being permitted off the ship at any of the ports there were not photos with the props as you get off the ship. I also don't recall any photos as you board like the old days.
  8. Suites don't get charged for Room Service. They are exempt from the after hour charge.
  9. We were on Silhouette in April. The ship was indeed short staffed but never saw it affect the cruise. Some of the wait staff were working much harder but they delivered. I felt sorry of the Bar Tender in Retreat. In the past he had a bar back to haul and fill the ice, take care of glasses and replenish supplies. He was on his own and really put in the hours. Waiters, Stateroom attendants and Butlers were also short staffed but found ways to not let t show. We had quite a number of crew cove down with Covid. On occasion they would bring on someone with little experience e.g. the Suites Manager, who's lack of experience showed but his staff covered for him.
  10. You can either just resubmit and as specified. Circle (I use red ink) Your Name - Redacted Account Number and the shares you own. You can also call the phone number on the page. If you have time I would just re-submit using the online submission. I've had this happen more than once. They once also told me my name wasn't on the reservation even though it was circled
  11. My understanding is that if you cancel at a specific number of hours prior to cruise (48 comes to mind) that if from a NR it will be reverted back to a NR either before you cruise or if after the 48 hours will be credited back on the ship. If you paid for it with CC it will be refunded to original form of payment if before the 48 hours or as a Refundable OBC on board if after the cut off time.
  12. Thanks.... my feeble eyes missed the Sky Suite part... still new to my eyes with this new suite type. With that they could have a 3rd in their room but as I recall the "sofa" was more of a Fainting Sofa... at least on an M-Class, so not sure how comfortable it would be but definitely doable.
  13. Fingers crossed for you. When I've been in that predicament I was always upgraded. Sometimes they wait because if they can give you the better suite they can upgrade your room and get two upgrades. Make sure you check your junk mail and/or check your room. I had one upgrade I didn't realize I won until my watch buzzed with a credit card alert that a charge had been made by Celebrity. I have alerts setup for any transaction over a $ amount.
  14. When you call the 800 number one of the first choices (I believe push 1) is for emergency. They answer pretty quickly. Most cases you may be just as quick or quicker to call the airline or check with the airline helpdesk.
  15. They did add some for sure. They have a Beyond Burger, which I have never tried. hmmm... well for me it will probably the last time I order it also. I hate beets and they use beets for the red rare meat look.
  16. I agree. I believe their contract expired with Michael Roux when they added Aqua and they revamped the menus at that time .... Yikes how many years ago was that. On the other hand I think the most change I can recall was in Blu. Originally it was very health conscious and slowly the seem to have become less health conscious. That may just be my interpretation as i have only sailed in Aqua 3-4 times . By the way I often enjoy the choices you get in Blu better than Luminae.
  17. I guess they ambushed my amuse-bouche. I'm laughing out loud for sure. If anyone remembers he Cold Radish dipped in clarified butter they would know they were ambushed. So many were sent back they pulled them quickly.
  18. Wait until you go next time and find 500 passengers there, now that you let the secret out of the box. LOL BTW - While not open air you get a forward facing view from the Fitness Center. They treadmills all face forward overlooking Forward.
  19. I would say you have a good chance of being awarded a cabin. Usually when I've won and see that I am notified in less than 24 hours. At 48 hours prior to cruise you will be notified of any bids that were rejected. How far out are you from sailing?
  20. Yes you can leave both a cash tip in an envelope (which we prefer to do) and thank them personally or you can pick up an Additional Gratuity Form at the front desk (useful if you have a lot of NR OBC)
  21. They are available to all Retreat Cabins from Sky Suites up. BTW they dropped the name Butler and call them Personal Retreat Hosts. and BTW I still call them Butlers... LOL
  22. Yes and No. Aqua Sky Suite is just a rebranded Sky Suite and dines in Luminae not Blu. The major difference is you have a Sky Suite but have access to Persian Garden (or whatever they call it now). It was just another marketing ploy to increase revenue. Aqua Class itself is also limited due to Maximum Ship Capacity calculations. There are also some other cabins in other classes limited to 3 for the same reason.
  23. Agree with @jelayne we have traveled with Celebrity for over 25 years and I only recall one revamp of the menus. A couple items on all the menus have been added and subtracted. Recently in Luminae they have been updating some of the ambush but the menu has pretty much stayed the same since Luminae was introduced. I also recently noticed that the Lamb Burger on Luminae lunch menu has disappeared. Also when they introduced Daniel B' they added 3 of his dishes to the Luminae everyday items at the bottom of the menu. Recently they have added an everyday items on the Main Menu at least on Silhouette - British Selection. If I recall there were only two different items
  24. I have seen this before if you try to go back in and edit/cancel. This often happens if you use the link to the original bid. Try the link on the two confirmations that you can't modify. If you still can't modify you may have won one of the bid or short listed.
  25. Unfortunately that will not be an option for you. Aqua Class is limited to only 2 persons in a Cabin. This is due to capacity limitation of Blu. I thought that was the case but verified by doing a mock booking for 3 -
