  1. I think it depends on how they setup you account. Never figured it out. I always book and use my credit card. Sometimes it's split, Sometime joined and only one of us can see - usually Iain. I just let the Retreat Host know and she goes into the account and does something so I can see it combined on my account. ---
  2. Sorry to hear of your tale. Just wanted to point out that such an occurrence is not limited to Silhouette or even S-Class. We were on Edge in a RS in December and had a similar experience but luckily we were not in the Toilet Area. We heard a rumble a spurt and a spray. I looked in the toilet area and the ceiling, wall and floor were soaked. Just thankful no one was in the toilet area at the time. We let our butler know and they had our bathroom properly sanitized and cleaned. It was explained that their had been a blockage due to something a guest had flushed down the toilet.
  3. There's an app called Bounce that has local neighborhood luggage storage in most major cities around the world. I've used it a number of times and works well. Many of the places are Laundries, Convinces Stores and Restaurants.
  4. Really not a problem. If it is in a sealed envelope and if it's "walked away", they print you a new card and disable the old one. Also remember security would have video of the culprit. On B2B's, I've often had a card that didn't work and just have a new one made.
  5. Not new. They have had that for at least 10 years. As others say it is not mandatory and can be done during checking as well as everything else except the selection of a checkin time.
  6. Some ports the tagging is not as easy as FLL and MIA. In Amsterdam those without tags had to line up at a desk and the agent would check a long list to confirm the room and then print one. Some complained it took over 1/2 hour to get a bag tag because the line was so long Those with tag's simply tossed their bags on a conveyor belt and the bags went to the back where the agents were located. It isn't like most ports where they have porters taking your bags.
  7. I also checked for our cruise on Solstice in 33 days and not much there. The excursions are between 5-15% and higher than what I had booked already.
  8. Definitely will be following along. Have very much enjoyed your previous Live posts.
  9. I applied on yesterday March 5, for my sailing on QM2 for October 25 crossing. I received a reply this morning that the credit had been applied.
  10. Ask any crew member they know for sure. I'm sure you will find free WiFi - known places in any port is McDonald's and Starbucks. Almost all cruise terminal also have free-internet and you will see many crew sitting talking with their families. I have T-Mobile and they have free international data roaming in 198 countries so no longer have to search for it.
  11. It's not that difficult to skip ahead on the Website you just have to skip past 3 screens (leaving them blank) while in the app you can go directly to checkin time with one click.
  12. Yes... using the app. Just select checkin time. You can later complete everything else up until about 48 hours prior to the cruise. You can also just check in with only the checkin time selected.
  13. would need to turn over --- look at the fine print other side very bottom in fine print. I think second paragraph. I asked about 18 month once and they said it was a marketing error and they would never offer again. LOL
  14. Respect your knowledge as a Dutch national. Wanted to point out that in May of last year we used ApplePay with a U.S.Chase Sapphire Visa card on the Train as well as subways in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. As a matter of fact it was the only way we could board the subway at the subway station closest to the port as there are no ticket machines. The guard told us to just tap our credit card. Worked perfect. Now --- I 100% agree with you on using a U.S. credit card at a grocery store in Amsterdam. They told me the only way I could use was for the agent to ring up give me the chit and I would take it to the front desk and they would use a different terminal and complete the transaction. After doing that once we shifted to cash instead of holding up everyone in line behind us.
  15. The only place I've seen US Global Entry is Canada and Ireland. Many European countries have a similar program.
  16. Normally someone will respond with a call back regardless of how you are booked. Sometimes I've been able to get attention that my agent wasn't able to get. Worst situation you get no answer.
  17. Agree they are so much better than the mini ones at al Bacio. They are always really flaky and not chewy at all.
  18. They normally advise you of an unsuccessful bid at 48 hours prior to embarkation time. I've always received one. Some have found them in their spam or junk folder when looking for them.
  19. Yes you can just cancel and re-book immediately. If you used OBC the credit is back within seconds. If credit card could take 10 days to receive.
  20. Recommend reading the fine print on second page bottom. I purchased some on my December cruise prior to the change to no refund. Mine state I have 6 months to convert to a booking or if not booked after 6 months my deposit will be refunded. They have had a number of different expiration dates from 6month to 1 year.
  21. I've done them in many cities around the world. I think it is a really good way of getting a good overview of a city. We usually don't get on and off and just remain on for the complete route. My favorite experience was in Rome. We were sitting on the upper deck right by the Vatican all the sudden the Pope came to his window and started some type of ceremony. Wasn't part of the planned tour but a real unexpected delight to have a front row seat .... the driver decided to delay his departure so we could all enjoy.
  22. Yes last page. About that same date on the Website there will also be an option to pull up your luggage tag and print directly instead of going through documents. It is in the same area as CheckIn link.
  23. They don't have pikleball on Silhouette. Silhouette went through Revolution and the Basketball Court / Tennis / Pikleball court was removed and replaced with the Reteat hot tub and sun deck. The court use to sit about where the hot tub is located deck 15 forward.
  24. They upgrade may be something that Celebrity may be negotiable about. I would try writing Laura an see if she can help. I won an upgrade 6 hours before the Covid Shut down. They did agree to refund the amount. The cruise was my free Zenith Cruise and they re-instated my the free cruise.
