  1. No but you can add extra to their free cover by calling the number they provide to give you Covid cover, cruise cover and extra cancellation costs at least less than another separate policies. Worth a phone call. We have added it to our overseas trip for us both being over 70. Eileen
  2. I think Qantas travel insurance is only for under 70s. Our credit card insurance with Bankwest , which is with Covermore has an extras which should be able to add on for much less. given that Bankwest and Commonwealth are the same company it might be worth asking! Eileen
  3. Oh wouldn’t that be lovely…loverly….please RC come to Melbourne. i don’t like Princess. My first cruise was on Norwegian with a lovely cabin, then I did a Princess cruise to NZ on Diamond Princess..I could not believe that there was no settee, on a balcony cabin! Have done a short cruise prior to Covid on Princess. The food in the buffet was cold and it was really like an old cafeteria! Now Diamond on RC so free drinks lowers the cost. sorry Princess lovers!🥶 Eileen
  4. Hi we are on RC from Brisbane on a short 5 day cruise leaving on the 26 Feb. we have My time dining but we’re not given any choice. When I went to book a time only very late times were available. on a Med cruise last year we went and saw the Matre ‘D as soon as we got on the ship and he gave us a better time. We will do the same this time and hope for the best. hope you get a reasonable time ! Eileen
  5. Hi, another suggestion. we are doing RCL in Feb 2024, I am sure there will be a similar one in 2025, it starts off in Sydney goes around the top of Oz, Great Barrier Reef, Darwin, Indonesia then down the west coast to Fremantle (Perth). We are getting off there but it then goes on along to Adelaide, Melbourne and on to NZ? If you have the time you would see a lot. February is a good time for such a trip as long as the weather is not like this year😝
  6. Ha ha….I know the problem…add glasses and i5 is even worse.👵
  7. I have changed to balconies since Covid and have been lucky so far. we usually do a Christmas cruise each year.,,last year Azamara, from Fremantle, next year NZ with Celebrity.,,looking at 2024 and for $1 each, have booked from Melbourne to Kangaroo Island,Then Tasmania and back to Melbourne. Looking at what is available , just a bit fed up of the high cost so although I have not been on P and O many years ago but at what P and O is charging we can go to their specialty restaurants every night if we so desire! For 8 days for $5500 for both of us including drinks and wifi and $200 OBC I thought we would give it a try. I know it is not up market but it is the company that is more important! Eileen
  8. I have enjoyed reading these bogan issues. Just before Covid we did a land tour of the Golden Triangle in India. We were the oldest, as usually cruisers nowadays! All Aussies about 40 ish, We had to stop at English Beer and Wine shops. At first I cringed as they all went in with the eskies to fill with beer, but in the end I went in and bought a bottle of wine to join in. These people were lovely to us 70 odd year olds and helped me to get me shoes back on when we had to take them off to enter religious places. like my son they were a bit boganish but kindly to us oldies🥳👵 Eileen
  9. Sorry for your loss…had a terrific life I would think🥳 we are on that Celebrity Christmas cruise in 23/24. Hope we meet up Eileen
  10. We stopped at Eden on the Azamara recently and the local council provided free shuttle buses. Everybody very helpful . It is a hilly walk to the town👵👵
  11. Not to sure I want to go to Hong Kong at this point of time…it is now part of China…my cruise goes to Manila…never been there! Eileen
  12. We have booked the RCL cruise from Tokyo to Singapore in August this year on the Spectrum. We booked it on our last RCL cruise..,,it was such good value..,,they are still offering it but the price has gone up dramatically. August is not the best time to go to Japan but we thought we would go anyway, A good value cruise is always worth it. And Singapore is easy to get home from! Eileen
  13. I have a bankwest card and have been very happy with it. No annual fees and other pluses. just remember if you are about to retire Make sure you have a credit card for each partner separately because if one dies and it is not in your name as the holder you will have trouble getting another one. Age discrimination 🤮 eileen
  14. We are booked on RCL around OZ in Feb 2024. We have to get off in Fremantle. As it goes on to NZ and does stop in Melbourne but I doubt they would let us off there without booking the cruise to NZ🤷‍♀️
  15. Hi looking for info please. we are on Quantum in March on a short cruise from Brisbane and require transport to the airport. The ship has an excursion which ends up at the airport but it is too late for our flight. does the ship have transport direct to the airport or are their plenty taxis available? thanks in advance Eileen
  16. Oh I thought you were in Sydney at lunchtime…..there was a Holland America ship at White Bay as we were leaving.
  17. Hi Julie, we are just passing your ship as we leave Sydney….we are on Azamara. We have a few cases and the staff all had to wear masks and most passengers did as requested. we are heading home to Melbourne so living in hope that we have escaped but really just wonder for how long! Eileen
  18. I have a cruise to NZ on celebrity next Christmas! Do you think it will be clear to all cruise ships what is required by then. there must be faults on all sides not making it clear regarding the requirements! Eileen
  19. Hi we are on Azamara Quest and stop in Eden on 30th December. reading the previous comments, I will be happy to stop if there are no tenders and just do a walkabout. eileen
  20. Hi we have been on Azamara before but it was pre Covid and we were in a obstructed oceanview. I thought the cabin was small but now in a veranda and the size of the shower and bathroom are the smallest I have ever seen! We are not big people! Eileen
  21. They haven’t lost any of our stuff..,so far. it’s only underwear and socks etc. nothing very expensive eileen
  22. Diamond members get a $10 discount on a bag of laundry. That is each passenger in the cabin. As we get four free drinks each decided I could afford to treat myself and get washing done. It is surprising how much you can put in the laundry bag.
  23. Have just flown Melbourne to Perth with Qantas. When we go overseas we fly business, but not on Qantas, but this was a package as we are on Azamara out of Fremantle. Food in cardboard boxes, on Qantas, was horrible. We checked if we could upgrade but it was $350 each just to bid. Did not bother. Paid extra to be on Qantas should have tried Virgin. Eileen
  24. Ha ha…,you sound as if you worked for the ATO like me…happily retired.
