  1. We have not flown yet as our cruise is next year. But when I asked our TA, he said Newark to London is almost always non-stop, but no guarantee.
  2. We have been on 5 different cruise lines, and the one thing I can say about our 2 NCL cruises was that they had the best entertainment. That is why I asked about the shows. And we chose the Prima cruise for the itinerary, London (Southampton) to Reykjavik with stops in Amsterdam, Belgium, 3 in Norway, and 3 in Iceland including an overnight in Reykjavik before disembarking.
  3. Good one. The 25th was a special birthday because I remember celebrating that my car insurance rate went down.
  4. Yes, the dinner cost extra and had almost no choices unlike the normal dinner experience. It was the summer of 2012 on the Epic.
  5. Yeah, IIRC, afterwards I wished I had ordered a regular dessert from the menu instead or in addition to the cake.
  6. I think in addition to putting the info in, you are best off telling them when you go to dinner on the special night. I know when we had an anniversary on a Princess ship, I told them when we entered the dining room that night (doing anytime), and that worked.
  7. Thanks for the information. It really does not compare to our last NCL cruise which had both the Blue Man Group and dinner theater with Cirq d' Soleil. JMHO.
  8. What shows are there other than Donna Summers? (We are not disco fans.) Also is there availability to dance onboard? Also are there dance lessons?
  9. Absolutely, DW swims multiple laps. She is in the pool well over 15 minutes.
  10. Yes, the reward disappears from your offers once it is used. Good luck trying to get it back even though they rescinded the credit, this sounds difficult. Just keep moving up on the food chain until you hopefully get someone who can accommodate your request.
  11. Agree, and you could take nice strolls around those decks.
  12. And as time passes, their tall tales will become even taller. 😉
  13. I found the auto gratuity a vast improvement as we no longer had to worry about having the proper bills to fill the envelopes.
  14. Yet if you read posts in many of these forums, the one thing almost unanimously liked by the posters is the new muster non-drill. Basically the only ones objecting are the experienced mariners who post on these boards and those who are actually listening to them. It is unfortunate, but it will take a disaster to reinstate real safety drills. Previously it took the Costa Concordia sinking and loss of life to tighten up the drill requirements.
  15. It was on a Princess ship (not Carnival, but the same corporation) a camera lens. While off the ship and having dinner in Edinburgh before attending the Scottish Military Tattoo, DW hung her camera on a hook in the ladies' room, and it fell. It turned out that the camera itself was ok, but the lens was no longer in working order. Luckily, both her camera and what they sold onboard were the same brand, Nikon.
  16. Or maybe this thread was titled pre-cruise experiences, and he will come back later with a thread about his cruise experience. Let us hope so.
  17. Of course marijuana has not been run through clinical trials as researchers cannot get it as it is classified as a level 1 drug. And then not being researched is held against it like in your post.
  18. Yes, it would have to be with separate booking numbers. And as I wrote in the previous post, I would not send in the requests together.
  19. I do believe they could hold 100 shares in a joint account as long as it is 2 different cabins with 2 booking numbers. Though I would not send in the requests together. LOL
  20. No, I believe it is per cabin. If a married couple shares a stock in common and books separate cabins with one in each, they could each get the credit.
  21. And with good reason, when have they ever enforced any rules where passengers might complain. The staff would rather not deal with that kind of situation.
