  1. Heavy Deja Vu.... @horseymike People are answering you in the other thread you started...
  2. Sorry if this has already been discussed ad nauseum...I couldn't find anything when I searched. I was looking at the Cruisedeckplans site for the Equinox and noted that there are some category code changes coming. Especially on the Resort deck (12). To summarize: Deck 12 Current C2 Concierge Class will become C1 Prime Concierge Class Current S2 Sky Suites will be split up into AS Aqua Class Sky Suites and S1 Sky Suites Current S1 & S2 Aft-facing Suites will all become SS Sky Suites Deck 11 Current S1 & S2 Aft-facing Suites will all become SS Sky Suites Current aft C2 becomes C1 and more massive changes on decks below...mostly of the C3 becoming C2 type of thing...Deluxe Oceanview Veranda becoming Prime Veranda (V1), etc, etc. I'm pretty sure the Equinox isn't going in for a refit any time soon, so I'm guessing these changes are for setting up new pricing tiers, etc? I can't imagine they would be refurbishing any of the staterooms. So what was a Sky Suite decor just becomes an Aqua Class Sky Suite decor? I guess they would do this to bring it into line with categories on the Edge Class ships where I see the expanded categories. I haven't looked at the other revolutionized ship deck plans as yet... Just making an observation, not complaining...am curious what others might think or know about the changes. Note that I do *not* see these changes on the Celebrity website deck plans. But we all know about their IT 🧐 But the changes are reflected when you book cruises after April 24, 2023...
  3. Gosh, I honestly don't know. But I thought someone posted here or another thread that they were included...maybe they'll comment here...
  4. Hmmm...seems they are quite good at it actually...LOL!! Yeah, I agree those prices are pretty...well...pricey!
  5. I'll let you know should that happen on the two I've booked in January 😁 (in fact, I'll let everybody who'll listen know...LOL!!)
  6. Actually, a fair amount of casinos have gone bankrupt...and profits have not been sparkling either... https://easy.vegas/casinos/profits A few casinos I used to play at in Vegas and Atlantic City are long gone...so it certainly isn't a given that they make tremendous amounts of money. Revenues can be high, but expenses can be higher...
  7. You are definitely not the only pair! And I also like watching the container on/off loading, etc when we're docked near a facility. Watching all those machines driving around and stacking/unstacking can be downright mesmerizing...
  8. I will definitely opt in for that. On all of our cruises I speak with the attendant and let them know that a single cleaning a day is sufficient for us. Easier for them, and best for us as we many times hang out in the stateroom and prefer not to be disturbed. So the Go Green thing is a no-brainer for us...
  9. I'll pass...fun animation though...but a lot of far-fetched tech...maybe in 50 years or so...loved the fusion reactor...
  10. It's Xmas / New Years !! I would keep checking on a daily basis...there's bound to be some cancellations...well, perhaps...(I mean folks who find they have to cancel the cruise...and had already made reservations...) You never know...I've lucked out in the past on other lines... Good Luck!
  11. First, I will break my own leg before going on a Carnival cruise. (my apologies to you Carny folks...) I get the drinks package because, as someone mentioned earlier, it gives me the opportunity to try drinks I normally wouldn't order because I would feel bad about wasting the money. Same for my wife. However, she usually only has a drink twice a year...our anniversary and her birthday. That changes on the cruise...lol. She discovered the Bellini on our last cruise and that's her cruise drink now. Now, of course, she's got very low tolerance to alcohol and is the cutest 'drunk' on the planet after 2 drinks. (If I hear that story about her college roommate one more time...) Then she gets sleepy and I'm on my own! All my life, I've been the 'sideline drunk'...people watching and staying the hell away from the crazy ones. And if I find others who just want to yak about whatever (except politics and religion), I'm your guy. I never hit the limit of how many drinks I'm allowed (though I understand there is no such thing with X...) so, yes, it is a cash cow for X and the others as far as my wife and I are concerned. But I just like not having to care about it and not having the bill on my account at the end of the cruise. Fortunately, I've not had any unpleasant encounters with the obnoxious or truly loud types. Of course, part of that is because if things do start to act up, I'm outta there. There was one Princess cruise where things had the potential to get out of hand but that didn't materialize. (It was a RT from SFO to Hawaii...lots of sea days...) Looking forward to my Caribbean cruise on the Equinox in January...
  12. No, no, don't mind me...just having fun...there were 3 answers and you said 'both'...that's why I was <sniff, sniff> crying. Please forgive my joking around! Everyone here is always wanting to save everyone time from the quagmire of phone support! Bon Voyage!
  13. Well, I sure hope they know Port is a wine...as that's what I'm bringing!
  14. WOW!!! They didn't have the gondola when we were there in 2019 (or the second dock)!! How very cool and a great reason to go back! Thanks! They sure took advantage of the cruise suspension!
  15. Here's a link to the alcohol beverage packages (Classic and Premium) showing what's in each package... https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/onboard-packages/beverage-packages/compare-packages
  16. Thanks, I know. My wording was poor I guess. I never thought MDR folks could dine at BLU. I thought BLU was for AQ folks only. Did not know suite folks could dine at BLU if they wanted to (if space is available.) Knew suite folks could dine in MDRs at anytime, as can AQ folks. Knew anyone who is a guest of suite folks can dine in Luminae for a fee and if space is available. (I don't know if anyone can dine at BLU if they are a guest of AQ folk. But I bet I will shortly 🤣)
  17. And believe me, it's not just X...had a similar go round with a Princess promo...however, did not get the 'this is a one time, etc' line... (I *did* get that line from an Amazon escalation rep though...but that's a different story 😁)
  18. I thought it *was* for AQ people only! I was looking at AQ when I made my last booking and was under the impression (at the time) that it was only for AQ folks like Luminae is only for suite folks (unless you are guests of someone in a suite and even then a fee is required...) Being new to Celebrity, I wouldn't have liked learning about this the hard way...but I probably missed it in the fine print...thank goodness for CC!
  19. Oh how I wish I had thought to use the last car!! I mean, I did get some good pics, but the aft pics are just WOW!!!
  20. "But why do you care?" I asked you first. "I can't ask a question?" Can't I?
  21. ??? 8 years later? Gotta echo davekathy...like, how come?? Planning to forge your way onboard or something?? Stow away in a tender? 😂
  22. Specialty coffees in both...go to the bottom of link... https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/onboard-packages/beverage-packages/compare-packages ETA: Do note that the addition of alcohol to a coffee may incur an extra charge that may exceed the $9 or $15 limit on a package and you will pay the difference...
  23. Yes, they are quite strict at Heathrow. I didn't take my Kindle Fire out of my back pack and that was a no-no. It had been no problem in the States so when I took out my laptop, I just didn't bother to remove the Fire. I hadn't noticed any signage but I was exhausted so I likely missed it...
