  1. If I can do it anyone can do it. Go and enjoy. I find people different on different ships. I do
  2. What is a Walker? I just purchased the 1 with the seat it does have wheels and brakes. Is that called a rollator?
  3. I just wanna thank all the really great people out there who gave this pertinent information to people that are disabled. I think it's great that you take the time to help others. Thanks again
  4. Don't give lousy people that judge you any real estate in your mind. I'm 74 and it took me a long time to learn this. I was in line 1 time to enbark and a man started yelling at me because I had a cain. This was about 10 years ago and it really bothered me. Since then, I don't give a crap! You keep doing your thing Ps.. Hope you're feeling better
  5. I'm very sorry to hear that. About 40 years ago, right before I got married, my husband and I went into Boston and saw Jay and the Americans in person.
  6. What cruise line do you like the best?
  7. When I was younger , how do I explain this, I always wanted to be able to go into a restaurant by myself and have a meal. I just didn't have what it took to do that. But a lot of people I knew were able to go into a restaurant by themselves and enjoy nice meal and I envied them. Actually, there was a time when I couldn't do anything alone. I always had to have an entourage. That's no longer the case thank goodness. My friends were way ahead of me in that area. They were always self sufficient. I am grateful that I am at a point in my life where I can do things on my own. I don't have to stay home because someone else doesn't wanna go. It's very freeing. Hope that made sense
  8. You get used to it. I used to think it was pathetic as well when I was younger. But you get used to it .Especially on a cruise ship. It's expected. Actually there are times I'd rather be alone. I have refused people that asked me to join them because I just wanted to spend some downtime with myself. Quiet time, you know Also, I'm an older woman. Maybe it's an age thing.
  9. Going solo July 29, 2023 Holland America 25 days Boston to Boston. I have been traveling solo for about 6 years now. I really enjoy it, didn't think I would but I do. My husband doesn't like to travel and doesn't mind me going so I do.

  14. That is exactly the reason I bought my walker . Last year I went on a trip with Norwegian cruise lines and waited 3 hours to embark. I have a problem standing in place for long periods of time. I bought my walker, haven't used it yet but I am going to take it with me on my next trip in Mat of this year.

  19. I travel Holland America and they put me at a table with other solo cruises. I choose a table for 6. So far so good. You're only at the table for about an hour and 1⁄2 and it's good to see people while you're cruising that you recognize. Nice to say hello.
