Where will you be? We've had lobster rolls in over 50 locations in New England and I'd rank half of them better than any of the chains. There are a couple folks who post Lobster Roll Quests or Trails on the Maine board at TripAdvisor. Worth checking out.

HI Hostel Boston (near Chinatown) is the only hostel recommended on TripAdvisor. I used to live in Boston and heard good things about it . . . and not good things about other options

For a more Fun experience but without the HOHO options, the Boston Duck Tours are great, and were the first of this kind of tour anywhere.

That Seaport hotel is GREAT for the cruise boarding,but isn't near any attractions or even really near many restaurants. Downtown Hilton is best located. The Canopy is new and also well located. Onyx is near Boston Garden and the Italian North End. Doubletree is near the theater district Any other Hilton with "Boston" in the name isn't going to be walkable to anything or is in decidely non-tourist areas. This includes the airport location, the Hampton Inn in Cambridge (ok, a longish walk), and definitely not the Crosstown or South Bay locations

There are a good 20 decent hotels within a half mile of the Freedom Trail, assuming that's "walking distance" If you can share you budget per night in USD, exact dates, and bedding/room needs we can make some suggestions. For history you can't been the Omni Parker House. Right on the trail

Reply 2 is correct: Hot butter lobster roll is a Connecticut thing. Some other places have added it to the menu for Connecticut Yankees who are out of place. 😉

Hundreds of good ones in NYC. No need to stay near the airport or the port. Stay near an attraction you want to see, like the Empire State Building or Central Park or Times Square. Let us know you exact dates, neighborhood you want to be in, budget for the night, and how many beds and we can make suggestions

None. Parking spaces are at a premium in Manhattan. $40/day at the pier is a GOOD deal. There are park, stay, and cruise options in New Jersey, but that requires a ferry or other transport across to the cruise terminal

Gotham West Market is near the pier and has a group of good restaurants 9 restaurants under one roof = delicious food & drink options + something for everyone (gothamwestmarket.com)

I wouldn't use either of those companies. They are third parties and that just adds an extra layer in case of communication issues (and also usually extra cost). Use them to do research, but also look to see if they mention the actual provider. Always book with actual providers when possible, especially in a place like Iceland where weather can cancel, delay, or change plans in a hurry

Agreed. The check in line is Airport style security, so get there a good hour before your ticket time. If the line is shorter you can take an earlier boat

Airport cab dispatcher will find you an appropriate ride into the city. NYC is very much wheelchair accessible. Most hotels are, too, especially all the Brand Name ones. Make sure you book an accessible room and you will know the rest will work in terms of ramps and elevators. Theaters are all accessible and have places for wheelchairs and companions to sit. Many subway stations have elevators, too, but not all.

They are expanding the dock There have been very strong winds that make current docking options non-tenable. We loved Isafjordur, best seafood restaurant we have ever eaten at is there. Do Iceland as a land trip, it's really easy to drive there.

You need cash or the bus company has an app. Strateo is the company, you can find fares on their site

HOHO buses are HOT as HECK in summer in NYC, and wet when it rains. If you get off it can take a very long time to Hop back on as they are still popular and full. They are also slow due to traffic. If the weather is reasonable, doing one loop on them to "get your bearings" isn't a bad use of the HOHO, but not for anything else. TKTS is a good way to get theater tickets. Have a list ahead of time of what you are interested in. They have large boards listing the available shows so when you hit the window know what 2 or 3 shows you are interested in. Feel free to ask them about seating choices, but not "will I like ______?" I can't tell from your list if those are the HOHO stops or just places you are interested in? Taxis are just as slow as the HOHO but costly. Subway is an easy way to get around. Cabs and Ubers do have GPS and can find the cruise terminal. Tell them "Brooklyn Cruise Ship Terminal at _______ address" and they will get you to there
